He retired in 1990 and was active in golf and skiing until his passing. With great sorrow we announce the passing of Bill at the Lakeshore General Hospital on Saturday, December 13, 2003 at the age of eighty-three. Retired professor and former chairman of Math and Science, Faculty of Ed, McGill University. In 1939-1945 Bill served in the Royal Air Force, first with 74 Squadron and then with 112 Squadron in the Western Desert. He is survived by his loving wife Louise Searles (Howe), his children Brian and Lynne (Shaun Medlicott), grandchildren Julia and William. McALOON, MARY A. - At Hotel Dieu Hospital, Perth-Andover, NB on December 15, 2003, Mary Alice McAloon (Bourque), in the presence of her family, joined the Communion of Saints. Mary was the daughter of the late Alyre Bourque and Katherine Murphy. She was a graduate of Bath High School. Her life became an example of wife, mother, and grandmother showing deep dedication to family. She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church and the Catholic Women's League of Perth-Andover. She was an avid craftsperson, receiving great enjoyment from her homemade creations and cooking skills. Besides John, her loving husband of 54 years, she is survived by her children Katherine (Claude) Butler of Quispamsis, Gregory (Judy) of Saint John, Patricia (Ralph) Smith of Centerville, and Peter (Sue) of Kilburn; nine grandchildren Joel (Emily), Andrea, Stephanie (Rob), and Michele (Matt) Butler; Jeffrey (Sophie), Mark (Melissa), Michael (Karla) McAloon; Ann (Corey) Wilcox and Amanda (Chris) Scott; six great grandchildren, Austin, Philip, and Vanessa Scott; Brandon Wilcox; Jonah and Jack McAloon; sisters Yvonne Bourque of Bath, Beatrice (Michael) Stephen of Oakville, ON; several nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law, and many good friends. She was predeceased by her youngest sister, Corrine Burlock. Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Dear grandmother of Daniel Peter (Megan), Susan Marie, Laura Ruth, Joan Murrell (David), Michael Gilbert, Brian Albert, Allan Wesley, Owen Robert (Karen), Mary Ruth (Paul), Leslie Anne and Robert David. Great-grandmother of Christine, Jennifer, Kyle, Michael, Dominic, Thomas and Quinn. Ruth was raised and educated in Eastern Canada and the United States graduating from the University of Rochester in 1931. Shortly after her marriage to Gilbert they moved to Edmonton in 1933, on to Camrose in 1941 and to Saskatoon in 1945. They survived the depression while raising their children. One of Ruth's finest achievements was as the matron of the Saskatoon Convalescent Home from 1959 to 1981. In 1986 she returned to Ontario where she was one of the owners of Cedar Cove on White Lake near Arnprior. During her last years she courageously coped with blindness and very much appreciated the talking books provided by the C.N.I.B. LeBLANC, SUSAN-Of Kennebec Manor Nursing Home, died peacefully on December 15, 2003. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she was the wife of the late Joseph Edgar LeBlanc. She was a much loved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. LUNAN, FRASER RAYMOND - 1983-2003. Passed away on December 13th at the Montreal General Hospital. Beloved son of Ramsay Lunan and Glynes Williams Lunan, brother of Jordan and brother of Chelsea. Grandson of Raymond and Barbara Williams, Saint John, NB and Alan Lunan (Norma Sauve) and the late Margaret Cowan Lunan. Great grandmother Evelyn Damery and uncles and aunts Leslie (David) Hampton, Robert (Lori) Williams and Craig Williams and Ross (Janice) Lunan, Eric (Helene) Lunan, and several cousins. Fraser was born in North York, Ont. on July 10, 1983. His early school years were spent at North Agincourt Jr. School and Sir Alexander Mackenzie in Toronto. He later attended Selwyn House in Montreal and continued his education in St. Andrews College in Aurora, Ont. He then attended Columbia University in New York. Fraser had a talent for excelling in all endeavors. He was always in the top of his class in school and excelled in a variety of sports. He was very passionate about education with a particular love of History and Politics. A private family funeral will be held and a memorial held for the public at a later date yet to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Andrews College, Columbia University, The Montreal General Hospital's Intensive Care Unit or charity/organization of donor's choice to honor Fraser. A special thank you to the medical staff of the Montreal General Hospital's Intensive Care Unit for their care and compassion.
