She leaves her loving husband of 47 years, Remi John; children Cheryl, Laurie, Colette (Brad) all of Hay River, and Daniel of Richmond, BC. She leaves her nine loving grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Cremation and Private Family Services took place on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home in Edmonton, AB. A Memorial Service will take place at the Assumption Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, December 13, 2003. Lt. Col. Ronald Cecil CD Peacefully in hospital on December 7, 2003. Loving husband of Catherine Paris for 58 years. Predeceased by his brother Ralph. DUMONT, GEORGINA – Des funérailles ont eu lieu le 6 décembre pour Georgina Dumont de Hearst, décédée le 2 décembre 2003 à l'Hôpital Notre-Dame de Hearst à l'âge de 60 ans. Née à London le 2 juin 1943, elle est arrivée dans la région au cours des années 60. Elle aimait les animaux, particulièrement les chats, et elle adorait aussi tricoter. Elle fut précédée dans la mort par son père Charles (1978) et son frère Garfield (1998). Elle laisse dans le deuil sa mère Isobel Erickson de Hearst, ses enfants : Ruth (Jean-Claude) Tremblay de St-Eustache, John de Hearst, Darlene (Michel) Thibault de Kapuskasing, Leona (Daniel Roy) de Hearst, Terri (Claude Cossette) de Hearst, Brenda (Sean Clancy) de Hearst et Randy de Hearst, ainsi que six petits-enfants. Le père Mike Burt a célébré le service funèbre. L'inhumation a suivi par la suite à Cochrane. La famille apprécierait des dons à la Fondation des maladies du coeur.

DUTRISAC, OMER – Des funérailles auront lieu le 12 décembre pour Omer Dutrisac de Kapuskasing, décédé le 6 décembre 2003 au Foyer Extendicare de Kapuskasing à l'âge de 83 ans. Né le 28 juin 1920 à New Liskeard, il était opérateur d'équipement lourd. Il était membre de La Forge. Il aimait jouer du violon, jardiner et prendre des marches. Il fut précédé dans la mort par trois frères : Don, Roland et Conrad, ainsi que par deux soeurs : Emma brooks et Simone Desbiens. Mr. Dutrisac was born in New Liskeard on June 28, 1920. He worked as an equipment operator at the airport. He was a member of La Forge and enjoyed playing the violin, gardening and walking. Mr. Dutrisac was predeceased by brothers Don, Roland and Conrad and sisters Emma Brooks and Simone Desbiens. He is survived by wife Madeleine; daughters Ghislaine (Hermel) Desbiens of Orleans, Gaëtanne (Louis) Frechette of Val Rita, Jacqueline Dutrisac of Kapuskasing and Suzie (Norbert) Richard of New Liskeard; and son Paul (Diane) of Kap. Also surviving are brother Lionel Dutrisac of Kapuskasing, 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Rev. Louis-Philippe Bélanger will direct the funeral service Dec. 12, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at Sainte Rita. Mr. Dutrisac will be interred at the Val Rita Cemetery.

He was a graduate of Dalhousie University and practiced both as a lawyer and a chartered accountant in the Annapolis Valley before moving to Ottawa, where he was Assistant Legal Counsel for the Export Development Corporation until illness forced an early retirement. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 10 in St. John's Anglican Church, Church Street, Port Williams, Canan S.J.P. BLANCHE (GOSSELIN) ARMIT Blanche (Gosselin) Armit, 72, of 198 Ridgewood Dr., Chaska, Mn., passed away suddenly at her home Dec. 9, 2003. She was born May 5, 1931 in St. Norbert, Man. to the late Arthur and Regina Paquin Gosselin. She moved to Fort Frances, Ont. with her family at a young age. She later met and married David Armit, son of the late Alex and Leona Armit, in Fort Frances on Sept. 2, 1949. They had two sons, Larry and Eddie. They moved to Minneapolis, Mn. when the boys were in their pre-teens. While in Minneapolis, Blanche worked at Dayton’s for many years. Then they retired and moved to Sun Lakes, Az. for several years, where she became an ardent golfer. They later returned to Chaska to be near their family. She was predeceased by her parents, Art and Regina Gosselin; one granddaughter, Stacey Armit; one sister, Bette Carpenter; two brothers, Archie Gosselin and Ned Gosselin; father-in-law, Alex Armit; brothers-in-law, Dick Carpenter, Vernie Erickson, Phil Asselin, and John Wickstrom; and sister-in-law, Betty McBride. Blanche is survived by her husband of 54 years, David of Chaska, Mn.; son, Larry (Dianne) of Rush City, Mn.; son, Edward (Lorri), and grandson, Andrew, of Waconia, Mn.; and one great-grandson, Alex of Minneapolis, Mn. Also surviving are two sisters, Leona Asselin of Thunder Bay, Ont., and Verna Erickson of Denver, Colo.; mother-in-law, Leona Armit of Fort Frances, Ont.; four sisters-in-law, Dodee Wickstrom of Fort Frances, Ont., Joan (Bill) Krukoski of Fort Frances, Ont., Lynn (Jack) Armstrong of Crozier, Ont., and Lorraine Gosselin of Devlin, Ont.; three brothers-in-law, Ray (Leslie) Armit of Fort Frances, Ont., Dic (Roz) Armit of Dryden, Ont., and Bob McBride of International Falls, Mn.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Chaska.
