PIERRE ET JEAN BOUTET ont le regret de vous faire part du décès de MADAME IRÈNE CLOUTIER BOUTET 1915 - 2003 de Hull, décédée le dimanche 26 octobre 2003, à Ottawa. Elle était la fille de feu Elzéar Cloutier et de feu Henriette de Chantal Ross. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses deux fils adorés: Pierre et Jean; son beau trésor Isabelle et sa belle-fille Sylvie; sa belle-soeur, soeur Bernadette Boutet S.C.O. et son beau-frère M. Léo-Paul Beauregard, ainsi que son cher filleul Mario (Lise et famille). Outre ses parents, elle fut prédécédée par son mari adoré Gérald; sa chère soeur Marie-Paule et ses frères aimés: Alexandre, Louis et Henri-Anthime. Elle laisse également dans le deuil Lucille (et famille), plusieurs neveux et nièces, ainsi que de bons souvenirs à ceux qui l'ont côtoyée dans ses mouvements musicaux (piano, chant et orgue) en particulier ses tendres amies Gertrude, Rachèle, Rollande... à tous de beaux becs. N'oublions jamais qu'une mère aimante c'est la femême la plus importante au monde. VISITES: Il n'y aura pas de visites à la maison funéraire. LOUIS JOSEPH GABRIEL LAVIGNE At the age of 53, Louis Joseph Gabriel Lavigne passed away peacefully, after a lengthy illness, on Sunday, October 26, 2003 at St. Boniface Hospital with his family at his side. Louis leaves to mourn his passing biological daughter Mary; siblings, Marcel (Gisele), Lorraine (Patrick Thiessen), Jeanne (Phillippe Lussier) and Anne (Mark Cloutier); also many nieces and nephews. His extended family includes many cherished friends and the staff of Sal's on Deacon's Corner. Louis was a dedicated machine operator with Borland Construction for over 20 years. The family extends special thanks to Dr. Kati, Dr. Tan, as well as the staff of CancerCare Manitoba and Palliative Care at St. Boniface Hospital, for their care and consideration given to Louis. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 29 at 10:00 a.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel. Interment will take place at Green Acres Memorial Gardens at a later date. JOHN ALBERT ZUCCHIATTI John Albert Zucchiatti, 58, who was born May 26, 1945 in Fort Frances, Ont., passed away suddenly Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003. He will be missed terribly by his mother, Caroline; his daughters, Kelly, Gina, Doria, and Tracey; and his granddaughters, Taja and Emily. Also by his brothers, Alan (Anne) of Fort Frances, Ont., and Michael of Midland, Ont.; sister, Montica McLeod of Duluth, Mn.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Gus Zucchiatti; and grandparents, Jack and Velma Kirtland of International Falls, Mn. John devoted his life to the community and helping others. He had a love for photography and his travels took him to Russia, Argentina, and across Canada. A service was held Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003. He will be laid to rest in Prince George, B.C. “So Close, Yet So Far Away” Heaven took my Grandpa October 28, 2003. I got home as soon as I could but it was too late. All I could see were tears dripping from their faces. My heart felt like it was in a million different places. I had no idea what to say or do. I know everyone feels the same way, too. Why did this have to happen this way? For this not to happen, I would pay and pay. I wish there was something I could have done, but because I am weak, Heaven took over and won. Peacefully and gently at his home on Saturday, October 25, 2003. Loving husband and cherished friend of Dorothy. Proud and loving father of Steve and Laura, a pride which only increased with the addition of Steve's wife Kristine, their son David, and Laura's husband Pierre. He will be dearly missed by his family. Son of Murdina Johnson of Winnipeg and the late Paul Johnson. Rod will be fondly remembered by his sisters Marilyn (Thom) of Winnipeg, Deanna (John) of Buffalo, and by his little brother Don (Myra) of Ottawa. He will also be in the thoughts and prayers of Leonard and Gerd Paul, Ralph and Leah, Nancy and Ed, and all of Rod's and Dorothy's nieces and nephews. When they married in 1969, this Winnipeg boy dreamed of travelling the world with his young bride. He began to realize this dream when he joined the Department of External Affairs (now DFAIT) in 1970. Together they were posted in Brussels, Belgium, Havana, Cuba, Bridgetown, Barbados, and Islamabad, Pakistan. In addition to two wonderful children, they enriched their lives with many dear friends the world over. Always the diplomat, Rod's welcoming smile, sense of humour, and infectious laugh could win over any room. Il laisse dans le deuil deux demi-frères: Lucien et Herménégilde, tous deux de Montréal, QC; Régine, Lazare et Rémi Ward, avec qui il demeurait, ainsi que plusieurs cousins et cousines. Gallien était un vétéran de la Seconde Guerre mondiale et membre de la Légion canadienne de Caraquet. Van passed away in Ottawa, on October 26, 2003 at the age of 82. He will be missed by his wife, Noelle and sons; Paul, Mark and John. He was the son of Joseph Leon and Jane Anne (Kelly). He is predeceased by his brother, John Victor (Jack). He is survived by his brothers Leonard and Francis; and his sister Geraldine. After completing his B.Com. at Queen's University and University of Manitoba, he served in R.C.N.V.R. as a Lieutenant during WWII; commanding a Fairmile. At the end of the war, he joined the Federal Department of Trade and Comêmerce where he served as 2nd Secretary (Comêmercial) in Lima, Peru; Consul & Trade Commissioner in Sao Paulo, Brazil; Comêmercial Secretary in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Comêmercial Counsellor in Mexico, Mexico; Director, Trade Publicity Br. (ITC) in Ottawa, Canada; Comêmercial Counsellor in Vienna, Austria; Deputy Consult General in New York, USA; Minister (Comêmercial) in London, England; Ambassador in Caracas, Venezuela; Consul General in Milan, Italy; Chief of Protocol (ITC) and Special Adviser for Trade Promotion Activities, Public Affairs Branch in Ottawa, Canada. In his spare time, Van was an avid golfer and member of the Royal Ottawa Golf Club. The family would like to thank the healthcare professionals who cared for him for their compassionate care. MORENCY, Stanley E. Suddenly, at his home in Kingsville, on Monday, October 27, 2003. Age 75 years. Cherished husband and best friend for 50 years of Gerry (nee Hennin). Nee Bonner August 31, 1914 - October 25, 2003 Mum slipped away peacefully on Saturday after a short stay in hospital. Predeceased in 1977 by her adoring husband, Douglas Arthur, she is survived by her brother John, children Keith and Kalee (Kathryn) and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Douglas, Genevieve, Michael and Nicole. She will be missed by her son-in-law Gerald Le Francois and step-grandson Daniel who affectionately called her Mrs. P. We know that her family in Manitoba and California and her friends throughout the country will mourn her loss. Born in Miniota, Manitoba she attended the Winnipeg Normal School and then taught in one room schools throughout the province. She joined the CWACs in 1944 and as Sergeant Bonner fell in love with Sergeant Parsonage whom she married in July 1946. Mum studied at the University of Western Ontario, McMaster University and the University of Toronto obtaining her B.A., B.Ed., and M.Ed. She taught in Wentworth county until 1967 when she became as Education Officer for the Ontario Ministry of Education. As part of a clinical team at the Chedoke-McMaster Child and Family Centre she devoted her time to helping children learn and thrive. She and her husband spent their spare time teaching basic literacy to adults. To her friends and family, Mum, in her various guises as Jennie, Bonnie or Mrs. P was unique - a funny, bright, stubborn and loving woman. We miss her. Many thanks to Dr. Morrin and the nurses on the 4th floor of the Queensway Carleton Hospital. Friends may visit at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road, at Roosevelt on Wednesday, October 29, from 7 to 9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at the Unitarian Church, 30 Cleary Avenue on Saturday, November 29th at 10 a.m. Next spring her ashes will be placed alongside her husband in Grimsby on Blossom Sunday weekend. Loving wife of the late Rodney Rupert Browne passed away in Tilsonburg, Ontario on Friday, October 24, 2003. Survived by her loving family, daughter Carol Anne (Chris) Turbitt and son John Russell (Sharon) Browne and her grandchildren, Matthew Barlow, Valerie Barlow, Carey Turbitt and Meagan Browne. Eleanor was born in Gananoque, Ontario May 5, 1918 and educated in Lansdowne and Toronto. She served in the RCAF (WD) from 1942 to 1945. At her request, there will be no visitation or funeral. Interment at Cross Cemetery, Landon Bay, Ontario.

ALIRE DEMERS 1914-2003 It is with deep sorrow the family announces the passing of Alire Demers on October 26, 2003, at St. Boniface Hospital. GERMAINE ANN DELORME (nee GOBEIL) It is with deep sadness that her family announces that Germaine Ann Delorme passed away peacefully with her family by her side after a brief illness on October 25, 2003 at the age of 78 years, in the St. Boniface Hospital. Germaine will be sadly missed by her son Ted (Jerrie); grandchildren, Sheldon (Amanda), Tamara (Bern), Kristy (Mike), Travis, Meghan and Krista; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Jaeden, Bailey and Jesse; brothers and sisters, Joey (Chris) of B.C., Bob (Norma), Charlie (June) of B.C., Joan and David (Shirley); sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Marius; parents, Mary and Ed Gobeil; Fred Gobeil, Mervin Gobeil, Annette Gobeil and Nelson Fournier. She enjoyed her extensive travelling to Germany and throughout Canada with her husband and son Ted; while Marius was in the Forces.
