Né le 25 octobre 1939, il était fils de feu Edgar Fou rnier et de feu Bernadette Leclair de Pont-LaFrance. Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil trois fils: Jean-Marc (Alicia Roy) de Robertville, André (Brenda McGraw) de Haut-Paquetville et Denis (Céline Breau) de Saint-Isidore; trois filles: France (Nor mand Dugas) d’Oromocto, Claudine (Néré Brideau) de Saumarez et Renée (Dave Cowan) de Rang Saint-Georges; dix petits-enfants: Catherine, Alexandre, Tommy, Andrée-Anne, Marie-Eve, Myriam, Jessica, Jocelyn, Marc-Antoine et Anthony; six soeurs: Alphonsina (fe u Abbey Robichaud), Angelina (Rhéal Bouchard), Alcida (Alyre Thibodeau), Carmelle (Lionel Thibodeau), Irma (Edgar Richardson) et Ovilda, toutes de Pont-LaFrance; deux frères: Yvon (Jacqueline) et Simon (Anne-Marie Thibodeau), tous deux de Pont-LaFrance, ainsi que ses beaux-frères et belles-soeurs: Cécile (Patrice Godin), Dianne (Onile Gagnon) et Roger de Haut-Paquetville, père Ernest Dumaresq de Saint-Léonard, Albert (Lorraine Brideau) de Saint-Jean d’Iberville, QC et Victor (Cécile Mercure) de Bathurst. La dépouille mortelle sera exposée à compter de 14h, le lundi 27 octobre, au salon LeGresley de Paquetville. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Augustin de Paquetville, le mardi 28 octobre, à 19h. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial. Heures de visites: le lundi 27 octobre, de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h et le mardi 28 octobre, de 14h à 16h et de 17h30 à 18h30. À la demande de la famille, un don à l’église de Paquetville ou à la Fondation des maladies du coeur serait apprécié. JOSEPH EDOUARD ST. HILAIRE On Saturday, October 25, 2003 at St. Boniface General Hospital, Joseph Edouard St. Hilaire of St. Boniface passed away at the age of 87 years. Joseph leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 64 years, Irene (Firman), daughters, Patricia (Rene Bazinet), Laraine, Elaine (Lucien Desmarais), Janine (David Maksymchuk) and Denis (Elaine Giasson); grandchildren, Nicole, Jacques, Christine, Daniel, Michele, Richard, Andrew, Aimee, Emilie, Erik and Dominique; and seven great-grandchildren all of whom he loved dearly. He was predeceased by his son Roger (Brenda Telford) in 1999. Joseph was born in St. Pierre and spent most of his life in St. Boniface graduating from St. Boniface College in 1934. He was actively involved in the community, serving as the founding President of the St. Boniface Historical Museum, Grand Knight and District Deputy for the Knights of Columbus, was a charter member of "la Caisse populaire de St. Boniface" and was Alderman for the City of St. Boniface for 13 years as well as Mayor of the City of St. Boniface in 1968. The extended family will also remember Joseph as the researcher and curator of the St. Hilaire geneology. Joseph had a long career as 1st class Stationary Engineer working for 38 years at Misericordia Hospital as Plant Superintendent. He enjoyed music, cooking, gardening, camping, fishing and stamp collecting. He was an avid traveller and corresponded with people he had met all over the world. It gave him great joy to comfort and support others through his many years of service to Meals on Wheels. He had great faith in God and reflected this through prayers, reciting the Holy Rosary, and supporting his church for many years. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 28 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Boniface Cathedrale, 190 de la Cathedrale, with Fr. Paul Campeau celebrant. A private family interment will be held at a later date at the Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank the Emergency staff at St. Boniface Hospital and particularly Dr. Tober and Dr. Rush, as well as nurses Heather and Diana for their care and compassion. June 2, 1937 - October 25, 2003 Dearly loved husband of Sue Irvin (Cantley), father to Joe"y" (Colleen) and Jane (Tom) Keyserlingk. Proud and caring grandfather of Megan, Adam, Joey, Jack, Kaleigh, and dear furry friend Tessa. After a short but defiant round with cancer, Joe Irvin finished as gently as he would sink a two foot putt. Sadly, for his loving family and multitude of friends, but as Joe would have it, at 66 he came in well under par. Joe was passionate about his family, large circle of friends, sports, brokerage career and his happy memories at Grand Lake. His unconditional friendship and love will be missed by everyone. Une excellente cuisinière, ses tartes et ses hamburgers lui ont valuent une grande renommée. Dans ses temps de loisirs, Mme Blais aimait voyager avec sa famille et ses amies, crocheter des "afghans" pour ses enfants, ses petits enfants, et ses arières petits enfants, mais surtout elle aimait jouer aux cartes. BOULET, Lucien Joseph "Lou"-In loving memory of Lucien "Lou" Joseph Boulet, 75 years, who passed away peacefully October 22, 2003, at his home in Fairview, after a courageous battle with cancer. Lou was a founding father of the Lake Echo community, where he lived for many years. He was a lifelong member of the Lions Club and an honorary member of the Lake Echo Fire Department. A stonemason by trade, he helped to form the community by building homes, the Rustic Cove Restaurant, Lou's Mini-plaza and even the altar at St. Anne's Church. More importantly he built a community of family and friends through self-sacrifice and endless care. The countless lives he touched throughout his journey will propagate for generations. "Death comes to all, but great men build a monument that shall endure until the sun grows cold." Lou was such a builder, through him each of us has become a better person. Lou was born in Ste. Cecile Que., to Alfred and Fedelise (Roy) Boulet. He is survived by his second wife, Ethel (Hickey); daughters, Louise (Don) Boyce, Deanne Simpson (Bob); son, Dennis (Paula); stepdaughter, Sandra; brothers, Gaston (Gilberte), Emilien, Emile (Rolande), Jean (Colette), Guy (Paulette), Gilles (Violette); sisters, Rita (Rene) Rancourt, Lucille (Angelo) Champagne, Rejeanne (Leopold) Cote; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Veronica; daughters, Suzanne, Joanne; brothers, Roland, Antonio, Fernard; sister, Julie-Anna Renaud. Cremation has taken place. Service to take place 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 1, in St. Anne's Church, lake Echo, Father Johni Mathew officiating. Visitation with the family will take place one hour prior to service in the church. Burial to follow in St. Anselm's Church Cemetery, West Chezzetcook. MAILMAN, BRUCE R. - The death of Bruce Robert Mailman, of Saint John East, occurred on Friday, October 24, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on June 9, 1975, he was the son of Robert Mailman of Saint John and Lorna (Cyr) Ewing of Bains Corner. Bruce was a graduate of Simonds High School. He was formerly employed with Lepreau as a carpenter and was presently enrolled at the Saint John Community College. Besides his father, mother and step-father, Bill Ewing, he is survived by three children, Matthew, Alyson and Kyle, his paternal grandmother, Inez Mailman of Saint John, maternal grandmother, Louise Albert of Saint John, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Mildred Kimball Mildred Kimball of Sussex Corner, formerly of Forest Hill, Albert County, NB, age 98, passed away, Saturday, October 25, 2003 at the Sussex Health Centre. Born May 12, 1905 in Forest Hill, Albert County, NB, she was the daughter of the late Mariner B. and Margaret (Steeves) Bannister. William Lawrence "Bill" Johnston TRURO, NS - William Lawrence "Bill" Johnston, 57, of Bridgeview Drive, Truro, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after he lost his courageous battle with cancer in the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro on October 25, 2003. Bill was a stepson of Ardith (Medill) Johnston, Palmerston, Ont. and a son of the late William G. Johnston. He was a member of the Black Watch and went on to serve as a proud member of our Canadian Armed Forces. He retired after 20 years of service with the rank of Master Corporal. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Palmerston Branch #409. Over the last several years, he worked with the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires at the Colchester Regional Hospital. He loved working with all the staff there over the last few years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman with many fish stories to tell and this came only second to taking rides on his motorcycle. He will be missed by many whose lives he touched over the years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Diane; daughters, Kim (Tim) Zinck, Shelly (Bunty) Soni, both of Halifax; sister, Connie (Conrad) Noble, Gowanstown, Ont.; grandsons, Michael and Taylor; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his natural mother, Margaret McClure. No visitation by request. Cremation has already taken place. MORTLOCK, Albert Alfred Today we mourn the loss of a dear husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Bert was born June 6th, 1916 in the Village of Lang and was taken from his earthly toils Saturday October 25th, 2003 in his 88th year. He served as a Sergeant in the Second World War and returned to Peterborough in 1945 and in 1947 joined his brother Walter in the construction industry. Upon the retirement of his brother, Mortlock Construction (1963) Limited was formed, carrying on the family business and the building of many city landmarks, retiring in 1978. Throughout his life he had many passions, none more so than his love for his family and the Masonic ideals and principals which he so faithfully applied. He traveled extensively throughout Canada and the United States promoting Masonry and was a great ambassador for the City of Peterborough. He was a Past Master of Hastings Lodge #633 AF&AM, a Charter Member and an Affiliated Past Master of William James Dunlop Lodge #675 AF&AM, a Past Grand Sovereign of the Grand Imperial Conclave of Canada, Red Cross of Constantine, a Past Grand First Principal of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Canada in the Province of Ontario, an Honorary Member of Supreme Council 33rd degree, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry of Canada and a long standing Member of the Royal Order of Scotland and many other Masonic Orders. 10/27/2003- ID2867235 - Peterborough Examiner

He also drove the Sunday bus for the Fort Fairfield Pentecostal Church for 25 years. He was predeceased by a son in 1968 and a grandson, Benjamin McLaughlin, in 1982.
