JEANNE D'ARC TURCOTTE RICHFORD -- Jeanne D'Arc Turcotte, age 79, passed away Friday morning, Oct. 10, 2003, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. She was born March 2, 1924, in LaBaie, Quebec, Canada, the daughter of the late Ernest and Cecile (Cote) Cote. She graduated from Nicolet Convent in Nicolet, Quebec with a teaching degree; she then taught grades 1-6 for three years at St. Bridgette, Quebec. She married Florian Turcotte on July 5, 1945. They have resided in Richford for the last 44 years where she was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. She was employed at sewing factories in Richford and Enosburg Falls and at the hockey stick factory in Richford. She also worked at the Richford High School Library where she had such a great time with the staff and students. She also loved working along side her husband. She is survived by her husband, Florian Turcotte, of Richford; four sons and their wives, Cyrille and Brenda Turcotte of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Michael and Gina Turcotte of Tampa, Fla., Paul and RuthAnne Turcotte of Columbus, Mo., and Daniel and Debra Turcotte of Richford; five daughters, Helene Turcotte and her companion Richard Baillargeon of St. Albans, Micheline Beauregard and Huguette Turcotte, both of San Diego, Calif., Pauline Donaldson and her husband, Peter, of Sarnia, Ontario, and Linda Lafontaine and her husband, Dennis, of Richford; 19 grandchildren, Michele, Tony, John, James, Andrew, Jason, Sarah, JulieAnna, Ann Marie, Travis, Joanie, Marie, Joanne, Jennifer, Sophia, Gregory, Carrie, Amanda, and Hannah; 13 great-grandchildren; eight brothers, sisters, Mrs. Rolland (Claire) Cote, Gilbert Cote, Laurent Cote, Charles Cote, Mrs. Marius (Antonin) LeClerc, Jean-Noel Cote, Armand Cote, and Mrs. Andre (Gisele) Proulx; nieces and nephews. CALHOUN, MERLE ELAINE (MacDONALD) Merle Elaine (MacDonald) Calhoun died peacefully at the age of 88 at the Central New Brunswick Nursing Home on Saturday, October 11, 2003 surrounded by her family. She was born in Bloomfield Ridge, the daughter of the late Kennay and Evelyn (Boies) MacDonald. She was predeceased by her husband, Murray Calhoun; two sons, Kenneth and Perley Calhoun; daughter Jeanne Calhoun; grandson Joey Calhoun; sisters Evelyn Doak and Gwen Hunter; and brother Boies MacDonald. Merle is survived by three sons, Arden (Faye) of Douglas, Jim (Valerie) of Wasega Beach, ON, Jerry (Jane) of Rothesay; five daughters, Marie Hebb (Jack) of Wakefield, NH, Jacqueline Christen (Doug) of Bedford, NS, Izella Reid, Myrna Green (Mervin) and Roxanne Pond (Ivan) all of Boiestown; 39 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; one sister, Lorena Calhoun; plus several nieces and nephews. Merle was a wonderful mother to eleven children and a very active member of her church and community. She was a member of the Bloomfield Ridge United Church, a Life Member of the Bloomfield Ridge United Church Women, a Life Member of the Bloomfield Ridge Women's Institute, and a member of the Central New Brunswick Woodmen's Museum. Visitation will take place at the home of Ivan and Roxanne Pond, 3352 Route 625, Boiestown, on Sunday evening 7 to 9 PM, and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Christine Cunningham SACKVILLE, NB - The death of Dr. Christine Cunningham, age 62, of Sackville occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Saturday, October 11, 2003. Born in Oak Park, Illinois, USA, she was a daughter of the late Wayne and Marion (Haynes) Cole. Christine was a graduate of the University of Michigan and Emory University with a Phd. in Mathematics. She came to Mt. Allison in 1966 as an assistant professor in Mathematics and she also taught at Sweet Briar College, Virginia, and had a teaching career spanning a period of 30 years. She was an active member of the Sackville United Church and enjoyed musical interests in the church choir, various choral societies (Mt A), the Drew Quartet and was a member of the NB Choral Federation. She had been very involved in Cumberland ITC for many years. 1927 - 2003 Died at the Ottawa Heart Institute after a brief illness on Friday, October 10, 2003. Born in Calgary and raised on the Blackfoot reserve at Gleichen, Alberta where his family lived and his father worked as the Indian agent. Kent married Helen Rea Crawford of Winnipeg in 1955 and then worked as a school superintendent in the Peace River, Alberta for three years before moving to Ottawa in 1966. As an anthropologist and as an educator, he focused on education for Indian people and later became Director of Indian education for the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs. In addition to his 17 years in the public service, Kent was a patron of the arts and an avid traveller. After his retirement, he and Helen pursued many interests and spent the winters in Vancouver and the sumêmers at the family cottage in Elgin, Ontario. Kent is survived by his wife, Helen; his four sons, George, Rory, Adam and Nicholas; his daughter, Sara; his sisters, Elizabeth Gooderham Robinson and Eleanor Gooderham Crawford; and eight grandchildren, Elizabeth, Rachel, Noah, Graham, David, Eilish, Maaike and Willem. The family wishes to extend its most sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses of the Intensive Care Unit of the Ottawa Civic Hospital and the Cardiac Care Unit of the Ottawa Heart Institute for their excellent care and compassion and encourages friends to make a donation in Kent's memory to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation at 40 Ruskin Street, Ottawa, Ontario, K1Y 4W7.

Audrey was presently a member of Lancaster United Baptist Church where she taught Grade Four Girls Class in Sunday School, for several years. Audrey is survived by one son David M. Clark and his wife Marilyn of Hardings Point, one daughter Carolyn E. E. McCollum and her husband Brian of Westfield, five grandsons, Clayton and Christian Clark, David, Brent and Kevin McCollum, one sister Vivian Burley of Birchwood Manor, Westfield, niece Ruth Lawrence (John), nephew George Burley (Linda) one grand niece, four grand nephews, great grandnieces, great grandnephews, and several cousins. Dr. Colin C. McGregor Dr. Colin Campbell McGregor, 71, of Moncton, passed away suddenly at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Friday, October 10, 2003. Born in Durham, England, son of the Late William and Mary McGregor. Dr. McGregor graduated from the Kings College, University of Durham July 1955 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor Surgery. In 1962 he received a diploma of Psychological Medicine. In 1971 he moved to Canada and in 1973 he received his LMCC and Practiced Psychiatry in the greater Moncton area till his death. Dr. McGregor, in his share time, was a scholar of many forms of literature and enjoyed Golf, Sailing and photography. He was a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick and the New Brunswick Medical Society. Dr. McGregor will be sadly missed by his daughters, Kirsten McGregor, London, England, Gaelan McGregor, Edinburgh, Scotland; son, Carl McGregor (Susan), Moncton; grandchildren, Keegan McGregor and Kate Curwin, both of Moncton; brother, Malcolm (Sylvia), England and two nephews. Dr. McGregor was predeceased by brother, William of Toronto, ON. LORD, GEORGE W. The death of George W. Lord, husband of Mabel Lord of Union Settlement, occurred on October 11th, 2003. He was a World War II Veteran with Carleton York Regiment. He passed away in Ridgewood Hospital in Saint John in his 94th year. Leaving to mourn besides his wife is one son, Allan Lord of St. Stephen; one sister, Lillian H. Crosby of St. George; a niece Jaqueline MacAffee and one grand niece Nancy Ann MacAffee. ROBINSON ALLEN - The death of Mr. Robinson Allen Bradley, (Bob) (Robbie), loving husband of Joan (Nice) of Musquash, NB, occurred on Saturday October 11, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born August 28, 1933 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Charles and Anna (Robinson) Bradley. Robinson had worked for NB Power for 37 years, retiring as a District Manger. He was a member of Woodstock Masonic Lodge # 8, The Shrine Luxor Temple and NB Power 25 year Club. MCNEILL, G. STANLEY "STAN" - Unexpectedly at his residence, the death of Mr. G. Stanley "Stan" McNeill, age 75, of 1420 Route 772, Chocolate Cove, Deer Island, husband of Shirley E. (Rogerson) McNeill, occurred on Saturday, October 11, 2003, Born at Chocolate Cove, Deer Island, on October 19, 1928, he was the son of the late Heber and Hazel (Chaffey) McNeill. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Stan is survived by his wife, Shirley, Sons, Scott (Linda) of St. Stephen, NB; Paul (Krista) of Lambertville, Deer Island, One sister Barbara Cline of Leonardville, Deer Island; seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Stan was predeceased by his daughter Deborah Jean McNeill and brother Willard. Stan had been employed as a Marine Engineer with the Deer Island Ferry and prior to that he had been employed for 22 years with the Department of Transportation as a heavy Equipment operator. McKAY, GEORGIA MARGARET JANE- The death of Miss Georgia Margaret Jane McKay of 23 Celebration St., Saint John, NB, occurred on Saturday, October 11, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, Miss McKay was the daughter of the late George H. and Evangeline (Floyd) McKay. A graduate of the Provincial Normal School, she taught in Hartland, NB and the Saint John schools of Winter Street and Princess Elizabeth until retirement in 1966. Following a year of study in Chicago at Moody Bible Institute, Miss McKay became the Children's Corner Voice of the Family Altar Hour carried by CHSJ in the 1940's and 50's. She was a lifetime member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, having served in the Women's Missionary Society and as a Sunday School teacher and choir member for many years. Surviving are her sisters Ruby (Mrs. Alfred E. Shuve) and Audrey (Mrs. Mark P. Corkum) both of Saint John, NB and Helena (Mrs. Roger Hill) of Lewiston, Maine as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three sisters; Florence (Mrs. George Campbell), Evangeline (Mrs A. G. Crowe) and Marjorie (Mrs. Chas Huppe) and her brother Mr. Lloyd McKay. DORCAS, ARTHUR ELMER The death of Arthur E. Dorcas of Fredericton, NB occurred at the Veteran's Health Unit on Saturday, October 11th, 2003. Born in Williamsburg, NB he was the son of the late William and Margaret Dorcas and husband of Norah (McAleer) Dorcus. Arthur served in the RCAF and the RAF overseas in WWII as a Corporal. After his retirement from Gulf Canada, he and Norah traveled world wide making many friends on their trips. In January of 2003 they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Survived by his wife Norah of Fredericton, NB, one son, Ronald (Lynn) of Aurora, ON and one daughter, Virginia Melnyk (John) of Oakville, ON; three grandchildren, Brandon, Ashlyn and Reid, one great grandson, Pierce; two sisters, Evelyn Gorman of Rothesay, NB and Della Gorman of Fredericton, NB. He was predeceased by his parents; five brothers, Amos, Douglas, James, Clare and Frank; six sisters, Isabel, Jenny, Sarah, Jessie, Margaret and Annie. PIGEON HILL - Aux Résidences Lucien Saindon de Lamèque, le samedi 11 octobre 2003, à l’âge de 89 ans, est décédée Lina Beaudin, épouse de feu Henry Beaudin, domiciliée aux Résidences Lucien Saindon de Lamèque, mais autrefois de Pigeon Hill. Née le 19 novembre 1913, elle était fille de feu Zenobe Noël et de feu Pauline Haché. Elle laisse dans le deuil quatre filles: Marie-Jeanne et Bernardine, toutes deux de Montréal, Ginette (Bernard) de Le Gardeur, QC et Monique de Québec; huit fils: Jaddus (feu Marie-Ange), Simard (Gertrude) et Jean-Yves (Chantal), tous de Pigeon Hill, Jean-Marie (Lise) de Beloeil, Étienne (Lisianne) de St. Catharines, Valère (Adrienne) de Lamèque, Benoît (Brigitte) de Savoy Landry et Donald (Liette) de Pointe-Alexandre; une soeur, Simonne (feu Gérald) de Montréal, ainsi que 23 petits-enfants et cinq arrière-petits-enfants. Un petit-fils, Donald-Guy, l’a précédée dans la tombe. La dépouille mortelle est présentement exposée à la Maison Bulger de Lamèque. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Pie-X de Pigeon Hill, le lundi 13 octobre, à 16h. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial. Heures de visites: le lundi 13 octobre, de 13h30 jusqu’au départ pour les funérailles.
