Mary Knott "Godin" (nee Herbert), of Pembroke, a loving, caring and gentle soul, beloved wife of the late Willis Knott (1984) and by previous marriage the late Joseph Godin (1945). Much loved daughter of the late Michael and Emma Herbert (nee Shields). Cherished mother of Geri Godin of Pembroke, David (Sandra) Knott of Kanata and Pat (Doreen) Knott of Whitby. Caring grandmother of Jennifer and Jeff Knott of Kanata. Predeceased by her brother James Herbert. Mary was a graduate of the Lorrain School of Nursing (1937). She worked as a staff nurse of both Pembroke Hospitals and later was employed by the Renfrew County and District Health Unit. Visitation at the Neville Funeral Home, 491 Isabella Street, Pembroke on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Pembroke on Thursday, July 31st, 2003 at 11 a.m. Interment St. Columba's Cemetery, Pembroke.

Jensen: Arild Arnold 1921 - 2003 Arild Arnold Jensen passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of July 2, 2003 at the Drumheller Hospital with his family at his side. Arild was born in Kimbalton, Iowa on February 22, 1921 to Albert and Anna Jensen. At the age of six he and his family moved to Dalum where he rode his horse to Blue Spring School. After Blue Spring he attended the Olds Agriculture College. In 1940 he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force and trained as an air- frame mechanic. Arild married Glenys Price on June 23, 1943 and after his war service they bought the Bragg Ranch at Dalum where they farmed until retirement to Drumheller in 1993. Arild took up residence in the Continuing Care Unit of the Drumheller Hospital in April of 2002. Arild is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Glenys, his sons Larry and Arild Jr. (Ann), daughter-in-law Marlene Jensen, grandchildren Parry (Leah) Jensen, Shawna (Joe) Castonguay, Jon (Shawna) Sheppard and Kent (Nicole) Jensen, and great-grandchildren Jadeon and Connor Sheppard, Tenlee Jensen and Cort Castonguay, brothers Herluf Jensen and Ove (Edie) Jensen, sister Gerda (Folmer) Rasmussen, numerous nieces and nephews and 'Duffy.' He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Anna Jensen, sister-in-law, Marie Jensen and grandson, James Sheppard. Arild lived by the following: God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. Funeral Services were held for Arild at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Dalum on Saturday, July 5, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Kevin Scott and Pastor Wayne McCrackin officiating. Doner: Leonard Wilfred Leonard Sylvanus Doner went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 21, 2003 at the age of 88 years. He is survived by his brother, Ross, plus numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Leonard lived most of his life working in scrap iron in Lethbridge, Alberta. He moved to Drumheller to live with his brother, Ross, in the year 2000. In February 2003, Leonard moved in to Long Term Care, where he remained until his passing. One of Leonard's past times was writing poems for the Lord of which we will share: Only a Tract I'm only a tract, but I tell you Of God's love and grace so free, Pardon for poor lost sinners Purchased on Calvary's tree. I tell of One who was willing, To come from heaven above Into this world of sin and darkness Because of His great love. Le 25 juillet 2003, au Complexe hospitalier de la Sagamie à l’âge de 70 ans, après un long combat contre la maladie est décédé M. Jean-Maxime Gaudet, compagnon de dame Madeleine Langevin, demeurant au 118, rue St-Marc à Chicoutimi, secteur Nord. Selon la volonté du défunt, la dépouille mortelle ne sera pas exposée. Les funérailles seront célébrées à Saint-Jérôme (l’heure et la date seront annoncées plus tard) et les cendres seront déposées au cimetière du même endroit. Il était le fils de feu Wilfrid Gaudet et de feu dame Virginie Francoeur. Il laisse dans le deuil ses filles bien-aimées : Carole et Marie-Claude (Richard Lepage), filles de Denise Labelle; ses petits-enfants adorés : Richard Jr, Guillaume, Caroline et Roxanne. EILEEN IMRIE MORROW On Tuesday, July 29, 2003, with her family at her side, Eileen passed away with courage and dignity. Mom was born in 1920 in Chinook, Alta. She lived most of her youth in Winnipeg, Man., and retained a special place in her heart for the city all of her life. Eileen married Roy George (deceased June 6, 2001) in 1944 and he remained the love of her life for 56 years. They raised their family and lived in Regina, Shilo, and Winnipeg as a part of military life. Eileen and Roy retired to the home they had always wanted in Fort Frances, Ont. They enjoyed 36 happy years there in the company of many excellent friends. Mom was a caring, loving person. She was known for her upbeat views, her smile, and cheerful personality. Mom loved sports (especially her Goldeyes), music, playing cards with friends, and delighted in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Every event was exciting for Mom—every birthday, every ball game, every visit was as much fun for her as the first one. She brought joy and excitement into all our lives. Eileen is survived by her daughter, Lenore (Mitch), and her two sons, Alan (Nancy) and Rob (Wendy); grandchildren, Tamiko, Kathleen (Steve), Derek, Jeff (Heidi), Greg, Matthew, and Amy; and great-grandchildren, Carson and Kaitlyn. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy; parents, Christina and Rodger; and brother, Alan. A funeral service will take place Saturday, Aug, 2, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at Green’s Funeral Home in Fort Frances. Interment to follow in Fort Frances Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Prodan, Dr. Harris, and all the staff at Grace General Hospital (5th Floor), as well as members of the Palliative Care Program, for their exceptional care and compassion.
