Né à Dalhousie, il était fils de Léo et Elvira (Hickey) Godin de Doyleville. Outre son épouse et ses parents, il laisse dans le deuil une fille, Cindy-Lynne, au domicile familial; un fils, Ryan, au domicile familial; un frère, Emery de Toronto, Ont.; deux soeurs: Jennifer Godin (Michel Ouellette) de Matapédia, QC et Patsy Godin de Doyleville; ses beaux-parents: Donald et Magella (Dugas) Dionne de Bathurst, ainsi que deux neveux et plusieurs oncles, tantes, cousins et cousines. M. Godin était copropriétaire de All-Tech Hydraulics à Beresford. La dépouille mortelle est présentement exposée à la Maison funéraire Elhatton de Bathurst (www.elhatton.com). Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire, avenue Saint-Pierre à Bathurst, le vendredi 27 juin, à 16h. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial.

(nee Morris) After a short illness, on Tuesday, June 24, 2003, peacefully with her family and friends by her side, five days after her 80th birthday. Just 6 months following the passing of her beloved husband of 54 years, Ronald, Audrey was also predeceased by her parents, William and Elsie Morris and sisters Ruth Wiltsie and Eileen Henniger. She was a much-caring and loving mother to her three children, Judy, Kathy and John (Debbie), a wonderful Nana to Christina (Ken Haldenby), David and Jennifer and a doting great-grandmother to Liam. She will also be missed by many other family members and friends. Following retirement after forty-four years with the Canadian National Livestock Record Office, Audrey volunteered for several years at General Vanier Public School. She touched so many as a true friend, including neighbours, her friends from camping days, the Kiwanis circle, McLeod-Stewarton and Riverside United Churches, the swimming pool and the bridge table. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Thurdsay, June 26, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, June 27, 2003 from 9:30 a.m. until service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. ARTELLE, Rene Y. On June 20, 2003 Rene Artelle, beloved husband of Julie Laycok-Artelle of Spruce Grove gently passed away at the age of 56 years. Rene was originally from Ontario but moved out west-enticed by the beautiful skiing mountains of Alberta. After a stay in Banff, he moved to Calgary where he was an active member of the Calgary Softball Umpire Assocation. In 1990 Rene and Julie moved to Spruce Grove where he became Umpire in Chief. His biggest regret in life is when he had to retire from Umpiring due to declining helath. Although Rene never became or endeavored to become a Rocket Scientist or famous political figure, he was a well known local character and he and his green van and dogs were a familiar sight in Spruce Grove. Rene loved a lot of things; his wife, his dogs and cats, his home, his handmade shelves, his die-cast cars and his great diversity of friends. He will be greatly missed by all. His ashes will be spread among the many baseball diamonds in Alberta and on a mountain overlooking Kelly Lake, NWT. Anne Mary Burgess 1918-2003 Anne Mary Burgess, of Riverview, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, June 15, 2003 at the age of 85 years. Born in Plaster Rock, NB on March 8, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Lillian (MacDougall) Thibodeau. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church. Anne retired after 28 years service in the accounting department for the federal government at the # 5 Depot. Also she was a veteran of WW2 serving with the Medical Core (CWAC). She is survived by brothers-in-law, Lawrence Burgess, with whom she resided, and Lee (Rachel) Burgess of Grand Falls; brothers, Kenneth (Hilda) of Kitchener, ON, Raymond (Dora) of Kitchener, ON, and Maurice (Simone) of Kingston, ON; also by several nieces and nephews. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home 214 Pine Glen Rd on Tuesday, June 17, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Parish prayers will be held at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 8:30pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at 11:00 am with Father Jeff Doucett officiating. Interment will be in Alderwood Cemetery. She was predeceased by her daughter, Adele Comeau; her husband, Francis J. Comeau; brothers, Denis and Emile Thibault; sisters, Hazel Roach and Evelina Thibault. She leaves behind brothers, Herbert Thibault, Yarmouth; Alfred Thibault, Church Point; her sons, Louis, Exeter N.H.; Joseph, Thousand Oaks, Calif.; Richard, Merrimack, N.H.; her daughters, Marguerite Franco, Peabody, Mass.; Donna Maas, Hubley; Sharon Chase, Salisbury, Mass.; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

DOIRON (Cheverie), Jean-87, Pictou. The sad passing of Jean, occurred June 24, 2003, at home. She was predeceased by her first husband, Sam Cheverie; second husband, Andrew Doiron; granddaughter, Shan Marie MacNeil; sister, Rita Ross. She was born in New Glasgow, a daughter of the late James and Lena (MacCallum) Robertson, stepdaughter of the late Noble and Bertie MacKay. Surviving are her sons, Pete (Faye) Cheverie, London, Ont.; George (Sharon) Cheverie, Pictou; Simon "Dinny" (Laura) Cheverie, London, Ont.; daughters, Catherine (Harold) Madore, Pictou; Edna (Ike) MacNeil, Pictou; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Florence (Poppy) Sutherland, Marjorie Fitzsimmons, New Glasgow. Her remains will rest in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou, with visiting hours 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Pictou, Father Peter MacDonald officiating. A reception to follow in Stella Maris Hall. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Pictou Victorian Order of Nurses or the Palliative Care, Aberdeen Hospital.

Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil trois fils: Michel, Charles (Jeanne) et Daniel (Laurie); quatre petits-enfants: Kyle, Connor, Brennan et Molly; ses soeurs: Gisèle (Jean-Noël Caron) de Saint-Quentin, Solange (Gérard Landry) d’Edmundston, Ginette de Montréal et Jocelyne (Georges Bernier) de Grand-Sault; un frère, Jean-Paul (Ginette) de Grand-Sault; la belle-famille Lebel: Oneil (Bernadette Bouchard), Lise (Jeannot Ouellette) et Mauril (Lise Levesque), tous de Saint-François, Ghislaine (John Martin) de Caribou, Viola (Jean-Baptiste Marceau) de Québec, Guildo (Lorraine) d’Edmonton, Anne (Normand Castonguay) de Montréal et Guy (Ghislaine Pelletier) d’Edmundston. Deux soeurs: Claudette et Murielle; une belle-soeur, Guilda, ainsi que ses beaux-parents: Rose Lizotte et Abel Lebel de Saint-François, l’ont précédé dans la tombe. Les funérailles ont eu lieu en l’église de l’Immaculée-Conception de Westhampton Beach, le mercredi 18 juin. La direction des funérailles a été confiée à l’entreprise Follett & Werner.

WILLIE LEBLANC 1932-2003 LAKEBURN, NB-Willie LeBlanc, passed away on Monday, June 21, 2003 at Winsorlock, Conn. Hospital. Son of Denis LeBlanc and Lydia LeBlanc. He was predeceased by two sisters, Arlene and Florence and three brothers, Edward (Eddy), Edgar and Marcial. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Louise Robichaud, two sons, Ricky and Jimmy and three grandchildren. Visitation at Winsorlock Funeral Home, Spring St. on June 25 from 4pm7pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 am, June 26 at St. Marys Roman Catholic Church, Spring St., Winsor, Lock. Conn., USA.
