She was born in Hrvatska, Dubica, Croatia and married John Dolinar in 1953. Marija was a long time Donovan resident. She came to Canada in 1952. A devout Roman Catholic she belong to Sveti Marko Croatian Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and visiting with her friends. Beloved wife of John Dolinar predeceased 1979. Loving mother of John Krnich (wife Vera) of Oakville and grandmother to Mary and Donna and great-grandmother to Christopher. McGREGOR, Genevieve Anne Dorothy Born April 10, 1926 Died May 22, 2003. In loving memory of Zigos Genevieve Anne Dorothy McGregor, who began her spiritual journey May 22, 2003 at St. Peter's Health Care Centre, Hamilton, Ontario where she was met by her mother Julia Recollet McGregor and her father William McGregor Sr., and sisters Agnes, Helen, Florence, Barbara, Mary Louise, Marion, Susan and Veronica for their awaited reunion. Left to carry on her memory, love, kindness and generosity are her brothers Arthur and wife Violet, George, Murray Sr. and wife Marion McGregor all of Birch Island, her nephew Greg and his wife Linda McGregor of Barrie, and her best friend Betty Caldwell of Hamilton. Also, survived by many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by her relatives and friends in Birch Island and her neighbours in Hamilton. Née à Grand-Sault en 1919, elle était fille de feu Noël Bernier et de feu Louise Beaulieu. Mme Levesque était membre-associée de la légion royale canadienne, filiale 21 de Grand-Sault. Elle a été précédée par deux frères, Robert et Joseph Bernier et deux soeurs, Yvette Beaulieu et Carmelle Bennett. Deux frères: Gérard et Johnny, l’ont précédé dans la tombe. M. Nowlan a travaillé à l’usine FN pendant 33 ans comme contremaître. Il était membre des Chevaliers de Colomb, conseil 10021 d’Inkerman et conseil 3514 de Shippagan et du Club de l’âge d’or d’Inkerman. La dépouille mortelle est présentement exposée à la Maison funéraire Bulger de Shippagan. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Michel d’Inkerman, le lundi 26 mai, à 19h. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial. Heures de visites: le lundi 26 mai, de 14h à 16h et de 17h jusqu’au départ pour les funérailles. TRASATTI, Giulio, It is with great sorrow and sadness that the family of Giulio Trasatti announce that our Lord has taken him on Friday, May 23, 2003 at Sunset Haven nursing home in his 91st year. Born in Isola Del Gran Sasso, Italy on September 1, 1912. Giulio came to Canada with his beloved wife and three children and has lived in Port Colborne since 1948. In Canada, Giulio worked at the Port Colborne Robin Hood and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Giulio was an active member of the Welland City Band and a Veteran of World War II in Italy. Predeceased by his wife Maria in April 2000. She has waited to greet him in Heaven along with his parents; Battina and Antonio Trasatti, his infant son, his sisters; Franchescina Gasbarini, Er isilia DiPasquale, and his brother Ercole Trasatti. Il était l’époux en premières noces de feu Madeleine Basque et en deuxièmes noces de Cécile Richardson. Né le 6 juillet 1923, il était fils de feu Fred Richardson et de feu Clothilde Comeau. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Immaculée-Conception de Rivière-du-Portage, le mardi 27 mai, à 17h. EMILE JOSEPH PELOQUIN It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Emile Joseph Peloquin, 89, on May 26, 2003 in Portland, Ore. He was born July 23, 1914 (to the late Flora and Napoleon Peloquin) in St. Jean de Baptise, Man. The family moved to Fisher Branch, Man. and later to Fort Frances, Ont., where Emile attended the Catholic school and graduated from Fort Frances High School. The Depression came and Emile got a job building Highway 71 to Nestor Falls, Ont. Later, he worked at a lumber camp and sawmill. He joined the Forestry Corp. in August, 1940, building more highways for the troops in England, Holland, Belgium, and Germany. Returning to Canada, he married Gladys Fadden of Rainy River, Ont. on Dec. 15, 1945 at Fort William, Ont., where he worked. They moved to Flin Flon, Man. until they decided to move to Portland, where he worked as a plumber, later becoming an inspector for the county until his retirement. They purchased property in 1971 at Pine Hollow Reservoir, spending the summers there and wintering in Yumas, Ariz. They travelled exclusively in Canada, the U.S.A., and Europe. Emile was the last survivor of the immediate 10 Peloquin children. He leaves to mourn his wife, Gladys (nee Fadden) of 57 years; four children, Maureen Bonfiglio (Claude), Raymond Peloquin (Laura), Penney Peloquin, and Joe Peloquin (fiancée Wendy Carrick); six grandchildren, Lee Bonfiglio, Emile Bonfiglio, and Isabelle, Elizabeth, R.J., and Monique Peloquin; one sister-in-law, Marjorie Bolen; two brothers-in-law, Gerald Fadden (Judy) and William Almers (Laura—deceased); as well a numerous nieces and nephews. Emile has been cremated. Two memorials will be held at Portland and Pine Hollow later this week. Donations may be made to Rainy River Hospital, Box 236, Rainy River, Ont., or a charity of your choice in memory of Emile.

Survived by daughter Lesley (and Roy Savage), granddaughters Sarah (and Jose Luis Sanchez) and Amanda (Clyne), great granddaughter Avila and brother Edgar Parmiter of St. John's, Nfld. Elsie will be remembered for her elegance, her sharp intellect and her lifelong interest in art and ideas. Her passion was reading and she read a wide range of books from many countries and many disciplines. She was also a supporter of arts, charitable and co-operative organizations. Friends wishing to honor Elsie's memory could make a donation to a charity or community organization of their choice. Private family interment of ashes will take place later this year.
