Passed away peacefully Friday, May 2, 2003 surrounded by his loving wife and children. Beloved husband of Fern, cherished father to Ben, Nelson and Ava and adored grandfather to Erin, Hayden, Ethan and Samantha. He will be best remembered for his support and loyalty to his family and friends and his leadership and dedication to the Ottawa Chinese Community. He will long be remembered for his warm smile, his inner strength, his quiet wisdom, his entrepreneurial nature and his subtle sense of humour. His many interests included photography, love of travel, music and playing mah jong. He was a championship table tennis and badminton player whose love for sports was passed on to his children. His major accomplishments included attaining his Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, serving as President, Ottawa Chinese Community, President, Building Association and Chairman of the Ottawa Chinese School Board. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod St., Ottawa on Wednesday, May 7 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. There will be a Memorial Service in the Chapel on Thursday, May 8 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke or Kidney Foundation. Donald J. Bourque 1927-2003 CAP-PELÉ, NB-The death of Donald J. Bourque, husband of Yvonne of Cap-Pelé, occurred at theDr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, on Monday, May 5, 2003 following a brief illness. Born in Trois-Ruisseaux, on July 4, 1927, he was the son of the late Willie and Eda (Comeau) Bourque. CAMPAGNE George Pierre 1938-2003 George Campagne of Calgary passed away peacefully on May 4, 2003 at the Agape Hospice due to complications from diabetes. Born in Willow Bunch, Saskatchewan on February 2, 1938, the youngest of ten children, he is lovingly remembered by his wife Carole of forty-one years; sons, Kelly and Darren (Annette) and daughter Jaye. George is also survived by five brothers, Henri, Marcel, John, Charles and Louis; and sister Louise. He was predeceased by his parents Marie and Pierre, sisters, France and Jeanne, and brother Raymond. Throughout his career George travelled and worked in eleven different countries and looked forward to the challenge of doing so. The family extends their gratitude for the kind and compassionate care provided by the staff at the Foothills Dialysis Unit, the Colonel Belcher Dialysis Unit and the Agape Hospice where he spent his last five days. HACHÉ, CLIFFORD (CLOVIS)-The death of Clifford (Clovis) Haché of Minto, NB occurred Friday, May 2, 2003 at the Queen’s North Health Complex. Born in Rogersville, NB, he was the son of John and Demerise (Arsenault) Haché. He was a coal miner in both Joggins and Minto area mines and was employed with R. D. Mills. Clifford leaves behind his loving wife Laura (Meuiner) Haché of 70 years; four sons, Ovila (Silvia) of Salmon Creek, NB, Anthony (Tony) (Jeanette), Clifford (Alvina) and Roland (Catherine) all of Saint John, NB; four daughters, Rita Thebeau (Vital) of Nackawic, NB, Doris Hoyt of Saint John, NB, Stella Manella (Brian) and Linda LaBrie (Paul) both of Minto, NB; two sisters, Rosanna Arsenault and Bertha Arsenault both of Ontario; many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. RAYMOND W. HEPPELLE 1942-2003 On Thursday, May 1, 2003, Ray passed away suddenly in Regina, SK, at the age of 60 years. Beloved son of Margaret and the late Wilbrod (Brod) Heppelle of Kenora, ON. Ray will be remembered and sadly missed by his son David of Brandon, MB, brothers, Paul of Regina, Denys of Kenora, Robert and wife Miriam of Phelpston, ON and Brian and wife Melanie of Yellowknife, NT; his sisters, Judy Heppelle and Sandra Cooke and husband Al of Winnipeg. He will also be remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, colleagues, neighbours and his good friends Ray and Cindy. Ray was predeceased by his wife Judith Ann Hyduk, his maternal grandparents, Richard and Gerda Norlen and his paternal grandparents, Elzear and Elizabeth Heppelle. In 1980, after many years in the retail grocery business, Ray started working for the Department of Justice at the Brandon Correctional Institution, where he found his true calling. His job description was simple: do his very best for those whom society had abandoned. He retired in 2002. Since then, he spent most of his time helping those he loved and fishing in Sunset Country. LOSIER, Auguste 90 yrs., Sunday, May 4, 2003, the 12th of 16 children, was born in Bois Hebert, New Brunswick. He was the beloved husband of Fernande Savoie for 62 yrs. Beloved father of Rejeanne (Dan) Buckley, Claire (Barry) Thornton of Mich., Jean-Yves (Juliet) of St. Joachim, Michel (Diane), Bernard (Tina) of Richmond Hill, Suzanne (Pat) Prentice of Brampton. He leaves 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and one coming. He is survived by a sister Eva Duke of Saint Sauveur, New Brunswick. He brought his family to Tilbury in 1951 and through hard work and perseverance and many blessings went on to build a successful shoe store "Auguste Footwear" with his treasured Fernande. Belle River became home in 1962. After retirement, they spent many years travelling in the motor home and spending winters in warm climates. He is predeceased by 14 of his siblings and twin granddaughters. What a reunion they're having. Praise God for a long fruitful life. His quiver is full! He was a member of K of C, Belle River Council 2775 and the Good Neighbour Club. ALBINA CATHERINE NAULT (nee HAYDEN) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Albina Catherine Nault on Sunday, May 4, 2003 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 74 years. Albina was born on July 31, 1928 in the R.M. of Ellice and spent most of her life in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her parents, Madeline and Jim Hayden; husband Ores; two brothers, Gordon and Jimmy; three sisters, Florence, Mary, and Jean. AMY HARRIET MARY ORME Amy Harriet Mary Orme passed away peacefully at the Emo Health Centre in Emo, Ont. on Monday, May 5, 2003 with family by her side. She was born in 1914 in Gillingham, Kent, England to Arthur and Amy Noble. She grew up in England and trained there to become a nurse. Amy was extremely proud to be part of the nursing profession. She came to Canada in 1938, and married Richard Orme that same year. They resided in North Branch, Emo, and Fort Frances over the years. After Richard’s passing, Amy moved to Kenora for a while, then moved back to the Emo and Fort Frances area. Amy was very active in the Anglican Church, United Church Choir, Women’s Institute, Legion Auxiliary, and Order of Foresters. In her later years, she enjoyed going to day hospital in both Emo and Fort Frances. Amy had a beautiful singing voice and she sang at many occasions over the years. She also loved doing crafts, knitting, crocheting, and needlework of all kinds, and exhibited her crafts in the Emo Fall Fair for many years up until she was in her late 70s. Amy and Richard were foster parents for many years and looked after numerous children of all ages for the Children’s Aid Society. She was predeceased by her father, mother, and brother, Reginald in England; husband, Richard Orme; and son-in-law, Cleland Lundy. She is survived by her children, Patricia Lundy, Janet (Gary) Judson, Mavis (Frank) Izzard, and Arthur (Anneke) Orme; and foster son, Thomas Fraser and his fiance, Angie Pernsky. Also surviving are grandchildren, Drew (Cheryl) Lundy, Greg (Kathy) Lundy, Morris (Cindy) Judson, Trevor (Jane) Judson, Donna Sayer, Candice Izzard, Rick (Shannon) Izzard, Anna Mae (Carlos) Clark, and Trudy Orme and her special friend, Scott Dejersey; great-grandchildren, Emma (Cory) Govier, Douglas Judson, Maverick Judson, Luke Judson, Janissa Judson, Jeffrey Judson, Michael (Jackie) Lundy, Erin Lundy, Ben Lundy, Zack Lundy, Kurtis Izzard, Janelle Izzard, Kyla Sayer, and Julie Sayer; and great-great-grandchildren, Eric Lundy, Reegan Lundy, and Evan Govier. Brian Dean Carlson On Monday, May 5, 2003, Brian Dean Carlson, husband to Sharon and father to Angela, Anthony, Johnathon, and Richard, passed away at his home. Funeral services were held in the Chapel of the Omega Funeral Home on Friday, May 9, 2003 at 1:30 p.m., with Pastor Steve Wilson officiating, with Brian’s final place of rest to be Kenora, Ont. at a later date. Brian was born April 7, 1965 to Brian and Murrie Carlson in Kenora and later attended school in Fort Frances, Ont. Brian worked and lived in various places during his younger years, with two of his major accomplishments being as an owner-operator for Coca Cola in Northwestern Ontario and working at the Fort Frances paper mill, where he held three positions simultaneously during his tenure there. Brian later made the decision to further his education and moved his family to Thunder Bay, Ont., where he attended Confederation College. He worked hard and received his diploma for Aviation Technician-Aircraft Maintenance in June, 1999. Brian was employed by Field Aviation Company Inc. in Portage la Prairie, Man. until his death. Brian was a loving father who spent many hours fishing and camping with his beloved family. His quiet gentle manner enabled all to know him as a kind and caring person. Brian was predeceased by his grandparents, Marguerite Williams, Bill Hoffmeister Sr., Mickey Rapinda, and Peter Hynbida; and great-grandmother, Florence Carlson. He leaves to mourn his passing, along with his wife and children, his parents, Murrie Hoffmeister (Robert) and Brian (Anna) Carlson; sister, Lorrie (Brian) Cox;, brother, Blake; mother-in-law, Pat; brother-in-law, Ian; grandparents; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He also will be greatly missed by his lifelong friend, Kirk Wihnan. STASIUK, Ryan James In loving memory of Ryan James Stasiuk, 24 years, of Sudbury, who passed away Saturday morning, May 3rd, 2003 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph's Health Centre. A life resident of Sudbury, Ryan was employed at Palladino Motors. Due to his strong work ethic and keen interest in cars he was being considered for his apprenticeship as a mechanic. In his younger years. Ryan was an accomplished athlete playing competitive hockey and soccer. Ryan loved life and lived it to the fullest having many interests which included camping, fishing, watersports, computers and repairing cars. He had a great sense of humour which he generously shared with others. Ryan will be remembered as a handsome young man who was well liked and respected by all who knew him. The light of his life will be cherished by his loving family and many friends. Beloved son of Gary Tremblay predeceased 1986; and Debbie Stasiuk (husband Bill) of Sudbury. Loving brother of Krissy, Candice and Brandon all at home. Cherished grandson of Mary and Jack Gomême of Sudbury; Pearl Stasiuk of Sudbury.
