(nee Hamilton) Kelly Rae Marie passed away April 26th peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She fought a two year battle with brain tumours. She is survived by her husband Patrick, sons Chris and Scott, sister Laura (Ralph) Asbury of St. Albert, Alberta, parents Les and Bea Hamilton of Calgary and a nephew Danny Hamilton of St. Albert. Kelly was born in Calgary and attended St. Margaret and St. Frances schools graduating in 1981. She worked in the oil industry for several years prior to career moves to the Vancouver area and later to the Ottawa suburb of Blackburn Hamlet. Kelly was born to be a mother and a volunteer who spent much time at the schools and pre-school. The outpouring of generosity and help from her many friends over the last two years attest to their love for her. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at Good Shepherd Church on May 1st at 1:00 p.m. with inurnment in St. Mary's Cemetery in Navan. Ottawa Citizen, April 28, 2001

age 97, died as gently and peacefully as she had lived. Widow of Dr. M.O. Good of Cornwall and predeceased by her children: Aileen, Gardiner, David and Robert. Survived by her daughter Anita Kertzer and her son-in-law Morris Kertzer; nine grandchildren, Sharon, Gael and Deidre Grace; Christopher, Gregory, Allan, Eric and Kelly Good; and Wendy Russell; and one great-granddaughter, Melissa Good. Published author, historian, archivist, teacher, poet, Mabel Tinkiss Good was born in Lunenburg, Ontario of a United Empire Loyalist family who settled in Canada over 200 years ago. Mabel Good will be remembered for her significant contribution to the literary world; her generous spirit always ready to help those in need; her devout religious beliefs; and her outlook on life as she describes in these beautiful words: "Today is with us. Grasp it with joy for it is a gift of God. Yesterday has been returned. Tomorrow has not been given. Let us accept today." Mabel, Mother, Gra and the legacy she left will be in our hearts forever. Peacefully, Friday, April 27, 2001, in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Robert A. Durkin. Daughter of the late Alice and Trefon Bral. A former resident of Kamloops, Jean made Ottawa her home from the early 1960's. She was an avid bridge player and a member of both the Ottawa Centennial and Marathon Bridge Clubs for many years. In her last two years, despite failing health, Jean never lost her good sense of humour and she was courageous and ever a wonderful lady throughout. Her family is especially grateful to all the nurses and staff at the Bearbrook Retirement Residence who were so helpful in seeing to Jean's wants and needs. Jean will be dearly missed by her many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews. A graduate of St. Mary's Academy in Windsor, Ontario, Shirley was passionate about life and devoted herself to teaching, first in the classroom and once her sons were born, to them. As the wife of an army officer, Shirley travelled the world living in Germany, India, Pakistan, Israel and five of the Canadian provinces. In each place she lived, she embraced the local culture and used the world as a classroom for her family. Shirley lived her life in the belief that everyone had good in them. You just had to give them the opportunity to show it. The world is a better place because Shirley's love for life. In hospital after a long courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, April 25, 2001, at the age of 39. Dearly loved fiancee of Roch Savage.
