LA FAMILLE LIMMER a le regret de vous annoncer le décès de EUGÉNIE LIMMER (née Mongeon) décédée le 29 octobre 2008 à l'âge de 87 ans. Elle était la fille de feu Antoine Mongeon et de feu Louise Pagé. Elle était l'épouse de feu Gilbert Limmer. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants : Léonard (Alice Labelle), Louise (Marcel Proulx), Marlene, Pauline (Pierre Lefort) Diane (Gérald Laflamme), Judith, Johanne, Ann (Laurent Labrie), ses 12 petits-enfants, ses 12 arrière-petits-enfants, deux frères : Rhéal et Rolland, une soeur Yvonne, une belle-soeur Carmen Limmer et de bons ami(e)s. Elle fut prédécédée par plusieurs soeurs et frères. Des remerciements au personnel du Centre d'Accueil de Buckingham pour leurs bons soins. Un service en présence des cendres aura lieu le mercredi 5 novembre 2008 à 11h00 en l'église de la paroisse de L'Ange-Gardien, suivi de l'inhumation au cimetière St-Grégoire de Buckingham. La famille sera présente 30 minutes avant le service pour recevoir les condoléances. Né à Montréal, Québec, il était le fils de feu John et Effie (MacLean) MacDonald. Fraser était dans la Force aérienne canadienne et a travaillé pour le Conseil de recherche du Canada pendant 30 ans. Il était membre du Lions Club d'Ottawa, et de la Légion royale canadienne, branche 122, à Clementsport. Fraser était aussi membre du Club des Aînés de Cornwallis Park, où il aimait y jouer au cribbage et aux dards. Sa réelle passion était la cuisine, spécialement la dinde de Noël. Il laisse dans le deuil sa femme, Paulette (Mercier) MacDonald; son fils Stephan MacDonald (Stephanie) de Masson-Angers, Qué; sa soeur Sheila MacDonald (Jack) de Coxheath, Cape Briton; ses frères: James A. HARVEY, Kaye “Kye“ Burke - It is with much sorrow and sadness that we announce Kye's passing after a short illness at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Sunday November 2, 2008 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of 55 years to Lee (Emily). Cherished father of Cathy Fusco (James) and Beth Rybus (Ted) of Ohio. Dearly loved grandfather of Christopher, Brett and Mark Fusco, step-grandfather of Larissa and Colton Rybus. Kye was born in Giffnoch, Scotland and served as an RAF test pilot during World War II before emigrating to Canada. He was in the Advertising Department of the Niagara Falls Review for over 25 years and also operated the family business, House of Tartans, on Clifton Hill for many years. After retiring, he was a Bylaw Enforcement Officer in Sauble Beach, a Seasonal Police Officer for the Niagara Parks Police and operated Oaklands Campground and Golf Course. A member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Chippawa Branch and the Masonic Lodge, Kye was also one of the founding members of the Niagara Falls Music Theatre Society. Resting at HETHERINGTON AND DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL (905-354-5614) where friends may visit on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Stamford United Church, St. John St. on Wednesday at 10 o'clock a.m. Cremation will follow. BARTON, Beverley Margaret (nee Hall) October 11, 1934 - October 31, 2008 Beverley Barton, beloved wife of Bill Barton of Calgary, passed away peacefully in her sleep, at the Beverly Centre Lake Midnapore, on Friday, October 31, 2008 at the age of 74 years. Beverley was born and raised in Calgary. Although stricken with MS at a young age she did not let her illness hold her back. Beverley was co-founder of Yoga for the physically challenged along with Margo Kitchen. She was instrumental with the MS clinics in Calgary that provided support to people and families inflicted with MS. Beverley's weekly trips to Chinook Centre were always looked forward to by herself, her friends and the many Chinook Centre staff. She was a proud member of the Catholic Woman's League at St. Bernadette's Parish. Beverley easily developed many friendships along her journey of life with her radiant smile, her warm heart and kind words. She touched many people. Besides are her loving husband of fifty-four years, Beverley is survived by her sons, David (Roberta), and Bruce; and her two grandchildren, David and Chris. She is also survived by a special niece Terry (Gerry); two great-nieces, Krista and Jill, and numerous relatives, as well as her special friend Susan and many wonderful long time friends. Beverley was predeceased by her parents Edward and Elizabeth, and by her brother Wallace. BRUCE, Dorothy Phyllis (Nash) - November 1, 2008 in her 103rd year at Rideaucrest in Kingston. Born in Morrisburg, Ontario, to Fred and Agnes Nash (Weagant). Following her marriage in 1948 to John (Jack) Bruce (deceased 1974), she moved to Kingston. Dorothy was a unique person who lived life to the fullest. She will be greatly missed by her very large circle of friends gathered and kept throughout her lifetime, especially those in her close knit neighbourhood. STODDART, Eileen Marie (nee Langille) It is with profound sadness that the family of Eileen Marie Stoddart, of Hubbards, Nova Scotia, wishes to announce her passing into God's Glory on October 31, 2008. Sons Wayne and Brian, daughter Sandi, son-in-law Dave and sister Doreen comforted Eileen in her last moments. Eileen was born April 15, 1938 in South Brookfield, Queens County, NS, the daughter of Viola (Morash) Harding, Nanaimo, BC and the late Ira Charles Langille. Eileen gave countless volunteer hours to the community, working with the Hubbards Area Lions Club, the Children's Wish Foundation and TOPS. She was also an active member of the Chester Royal Canadian Legion. She is survived by sons, Wayne (Marian), Calgary, Alberta; Brian, Taipei; daughter, Sandi (Dave) Bredy, Calgary; brothers, Arnold (Margo) Langille, Medicine Hat, Alberta; sisters, Marilyn (Dennis) Labreque, Port Alberni, BC; Doreen (Henk Hiemstra) Langille, Hacketts Cove, NS; Carol (Ed Knight) White, Kelowna, BC; grandchildren, Tyler, Trevor, Maddie, Connor, Kevin, Lauren and great-grandson Kain. PRICE, "Gerry" Ross Febuary 14, 1934 - October 19, 2008 It is with great sadness that the family of "Gerry" Ross Price, announces his passing on Sunday, October 19, 2008. Gerry was born in Calgary on February 14, 1934. He passed away peacefully in his sleep, at home, following a long battle with cancer. "Gerry" is survived by his brother, Ron (Shirley) and family of Calgary, sister, Shirley (Frank Loftis) and family who live in the USA, along with other family members and friends in various locations. "Gerry" attended Colonel Walker School in Calgary and loved to go fishing in his younger years. He was also a member of the Calgary Navel Cadets. He worked for the CPR, took First Aid Training before working for Associated Ambulance. He also worked for Stevens Medical Supply Co. and Mayfair Taxi. Anyone who knew "Gerry" enjoyed his piano playing. He loved life and always had a cheerful word for anyone he met. "Angelo" was "Gerry's" favourite barber over a period of many years. The Bowness-Montgomery Legion No. 284 was often attended by "Gerry". A special thank-you from the family to any medical staff in Calgary who cared for "Gerry", along with Homecare Staff and other friends at Westbourne Place N.W. LaBUC, Bernice Mary (nee Watson) July 2, 1936 - October 31, 2008 Bernice LaBuc, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2008 at the age of 72 years after a courageous battle with cancer. Bernice was born in Calgary where she was educated and lived her entire life. In 1953, she married her childhood sweetheart and best friend, Don LaBuc. They later bought a house in the community of Fairview where they lived and raised their family until Don's passing in 1992. Bernice later moved to Legacy Estates in Somerset, where she lived for five years enjoying the many close friends she made there. Bernice loved to sing and was a member of the Somerset Songbirds. The choir was a great love of Bernice's and it gave her soul a voice. Bernice started and was Queen of a local Red Hat Society Chapter, "The Calgary Cowgirls with Hatitude". Bernice loved to travel and was able to do so with her two best friends and fellow "Musketeers", Isabelle and Louise. They enjoyed many adventures together including numerous cruises to Alaska and most recently, a cruise to the Mexican Riviera. Bernice had a great love for family, friends, Disneyland, The Calgary Stampede, and her favorite TV shows. Her warmth and genuine kindness touched everyone she met and she will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Bernice is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Patti Bittner and Tracy (Rick) Lavoie; two grandsons, Kyle (Andrea) Bittner, and Colin Bittner; as well as by the newest love of her life, her great-grandson Lucas Donald Bittner. BARKLEY, Donna Mae Donna was born in Eston, Saskatchewan in 1949. She was the second child born to Roberta and Donald Leach. She grew up on the family farm in Saskatchewan. In 1967 she had her first child, Todd, in Outlook, Saskatchewan. She knew that she could give them a better life and packed up and moved to Calgary, Alberta. She later married Stephen Barkley, and had their second child, Rebecca, in 1980. The two of them never stayed in one place too long, moving to Grand Forks, British Columbia, where they resided for four years. After the death of Stephen, Donna and Rebecca moved to Strathmore, Alberta so that Becky could finish and graduate from high school. Donna found her match made in heaven, Stan Huntley. They were so happy. Together for thirteen years, they decided to design and build their dream home, not knowing how short a time she would be here. Donna Mae passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 30, 2008 at the age of 59 years. She leaves to cherish her loving memory and to mourn her passing, her best friend Stan Huntley, her children Todd Barkley and Rebecca (Brad) Tucker, stepdaughters Kim (Pat) Proust and Laura Huntley, and her six most beautiful grandchildren Aaron, Hayven, Elizabeth, Hudsen, Holden, and Jackson. She also leaves to mourn her passing her brother Wayne (Maurine) Leach, sister Beverly (Jack) McCloud, nieces, nephews, and so many close and special friends (Graham). Serino 2008-11-02 Mr. Ronald Fredrick Serino, age 70, passed away Friday, October 31st, 2008 with family at his side. Born and raised in Port Arthur, Ron worked in many fields before working for TransCanada Pipeline for 25 years, retiring in 1993. Ron was an active member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, Council 7332. He was a lifelong member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 5. Home and family remained his passion throughout his life. He married his soul mate Kay in 1958, and together they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in December. Ron and Kay were blessed with three children, Roberta (Craig) Hainrich, Ron (Christine), and Jay (Glynis). Ron was a very proud "papa" to Christopher and later welcomed Elsa, Dale and Lisa to the family. Ron was predeceased by his parents Peter and Florence, and twin children Mary and Joseph at birth. In addition to his immediate family, Ron is survived by five brothers and their families, numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Ron will be held at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Current River, on Tuesday, November 4th at 10:30 A.M., with visitation hour prior to the service. Inurnment in St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Cemetery to follow the reception at the church.
