La dépouille mortelle sera exposée au salon de la Maison généralice, le jeudi 23 octobre, de 14h à 21h et le vendredi 24 octobre, de 9h à 10h. Les funérailles auront lieu le vendredi 24 octobre 2008 à 10h, en la chapelle de la Communauté des Soeurs de la Charité de Québec, au 2655, rue Guillaume-Le Pelletier, Québec et l'inhumation se fera au cimetière de la communauté à Notre-Dame-de-L'Espérance, Québec, Québec. In years past Marge was a past president of the Home & School committee at Martha Cullimore School. She was a Sunday school teacher, active with the C.G.I.T., and the church choir at Stamford Presbyterian Church. She volunteered for the March Of Dimes and touched many lives as a Foster Mother to several children over the years. In her spare time Marge enjoyed baking pies and walking, however her true passion was her family. Her warmth and charm endeared her to many, and she will be remembered especially for her delightful sense of humour. Born at Dock, P.E.I., on April 26, 1914. She was the last surviving family member of the late Henry and Gertrude (nee MacNeill) Matthews. Dear mother of Wendell (Jan), Reg, Huntley, Shirley (Byron) Bowness of Huntley, Trude (Joe) Dolphin of Elmwood, P.E.I. Lovingly remembered as “Mom Oliver” to her 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. PETERSON, Aune Kyllikki 2008-10-23 Aune Kyllikki Peterson (Hakola) age 94 years passed away on October 21, 2008 at St. Joseph‘s Care Group in Thunder Bay. She was born on February 25, 1914 in Fort William to Anshelm and Wilma Hakola, and moved with her family to Mokomon in Conmee Township in 1915. Following the death of her parents, she moved in with Arvid and Hilda Maki in 1925 and later worked in their store and post office until she married Ensio Peterson in 1931. They had one daughter, Eleanor. Aune was employed as a Cooke and then Cook at various bush camps over the years. She retired from Domtar in 1971 after working with them for 21 years. Aune was an active member of First Baptist Church and a longtime volunteer with the Port Arthur General Hospital and then the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. She will be fondly remembered by many friends who enjoyed coffee and sweet bread at her kitchen table. Her memory will live on in gardens around Thunder Bay which have become home to cuttings and seedlings from her lovingly tended plants. Aune‚s hands were never idle, busy creating slippers, Afghans, doilies, paintings, cards, and stamp collection. Survived by her daughter Eleanor Pendziwol, Nanaimo, grandchildren Donna Pendziwol-MacMillan (Mike), Whitehorse, Gary Pendziwol (Linda), Nanaimo, Deborah Colston (Howard), Seagrave, Richard Penziwol (Jean E), Thunder Bay and Cindy Ray (Brad), Richmond; great grandchildren Leigh, Moriah and Jodie MacMillan, Richard and Lora Pendziwol, Devin, Chad and Naomi Colston, Erin, Colin and Ryan Pendziwol, and Chloe Ray, also nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Ensio Peterson, her parents, her sister Irja (Hakola) Levanen, a brother in infancy, son-in-law Metro Pendziwol. PICCININ, Linda 2008-10-23 Passed away suddenly, after a brief battle with cancer, on Saturday, October 4, 2008, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener. Linda resided at Foxboro Green, Baden. She was born 59 years ago in Fort William. Linda was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church. She had been a lab technologist with Scarborough General Hospital and MDS for many years. Linda loved life and was active in the Foxboro community, played tennis, and attended Aquafit, Line Dancing and Tai Chi. Linda was a dedicated Meals on Wheels volunteer for Wilmot Township. Beloved wife and best friend of Robert (Bob) Piccinin, whom she married November 20, 1970. McDuff, Jacques N. 1926 - 2008 C'est avec beaucoup de dignité et de sérénité que notre papa chéri nous a quittés. Accompagné et entouré de ses proches, il laisse dans le deuil sa fille Nicole, son fils Pierre, sa bien-aimée Madeleine, sa soeur Françoise, sa belle-fille Jocelyne et ses petits-enfants Nathalie, Audrey-Maude et William. Il est parti rejoindre sa tendre épouse Claire Dubé et son fils Michel. Monsieur McDuff a été le fondateur et président de Cobra Fixations Cie Ltée mais avant tout, un père fantastique, un ami dévoué et un amoureux de la vie. PATTISON, June M. After a courageous battle with cancer, June passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at the age of 78 years. Beloved wife of James G. Pattison, 54 years of love and happiness. School administrator at Queenswood Public School from 1970 to 1994. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially her three daughters Dianna (Michael Gregg), Cheryl (Philippe Lavallee) and Susan (David Reibin). POULIN, Gloria Cecile At Eastholme Home for the Aged, Powassan on Sunday, October 19, 2008 in her 85th year. Gloria (nee Ward) was born in Halifax on March 4, 1924. She was the beloved wife for 67 years of Leopold "Paul" H. Poulin of Powassan, formerly of Ottawa. She was the much loved mother of Carolynn Mulligan (Archie "Jim") of Kanata, Mickey Poulin (Vodia) of Kitchener, Ria Poulin-Snell (Bill) of North Bay, Nancy Poulin of Ottawa and Stewart Poulin of Ottawa. Nanny will be lovingly remembered by Shannon (Kristen), Kelly, Kim, Lisa (Ian), Jill, Lindsay, Katie, Michael, Paul, Laura, Carly, Natalie, Emily, David, Ann-Marie, Stephanie and eight great-grandchildren. NADEAU, John 1961 - 2008 John Nadeau passed away suddenly on Friday, October 10, 2008 at the age of 47 years. Left to mourn his passing are his dog Candy, his many friends and acquaintances. John was very outspoken and down to earth. He made friends with many people with just a few associations. John loved driving truck so much that he would go to bed early so that he could be an hour early to work every day. If he was not an hour early he was late in his opinion.
