DE LUCA, Luigi - 1935-2008 - The family announces with sorrow his death on Saturday August 9, 2008 at the Timmins and District Hospital, at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Lourdes Do Santos Esposito. Luigi is survived by his daughter Carla Christina Santos Esposito (Ademar), by his sisters Maria Julialli (late Aldo), Lucia Gentile (late Mario) and his brother Alfonso De Luca (Odete). He is also survived by his nephew and niece from Canada Luciano De Luca (Rosanne) and Regiane Nairn (De Luca) (Gilles Bonhomme) as well as many other nieces and nephews from Italy and Brazil. Predeceased by his parents Luciano and Dicalo De Luca and by his sister Carmelina De Luca. Luigi was a Barber for over 40 years. He worked the last 7 years alongside his brother Alfonso at Alfonso's Hair Charisma in Schumacher. He will be sadly missed by all his friends and loyal customers. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Doctors and Nursing staff at the Timmins and District Hospital. McISAAC, Pat - Pat McIsaac passed away peacefully in Orillia on August 10th, 2008. Irene Patricia Dennis was born in Toronto on July 19, 1926 the first child of Corridan and Irene Dennis. Loving and beloved wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother, Pat married Albert (Burt) McIsaac and moved to Orillia in September 1950. A registered nurse, Pat gave up her nursing career to raise 7 children. She was active in local politics having served on many Boards and Commissions. She was elected to Orillia City Council, where she served for many years as Alderwoman and Mayor. Pat will always be held in loving memory by her husband Burt, her children Michael (Donna) of Guelph, Mary Pat (Geoffrey) Goldich of Petoskey, Michigan; Lori (Michael) Bunn of Orillia; Don (Nadine) of Houston, Texas; Jamie (Lucia) of Orillia; John (Margaret) of Bahrain and Maureen (Mark Press) of Toronto. Fondly remembered by Nancy McIsaac (Mexico, Missouri). LOGAN, Theodore David - 61, Sheet Harbour and Garson, Ontario, passed away suddenly, Friday August 8, 2008 in Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital, Sheet Harbour. Born in Sheet Harbour, April 2, 1947 he was a son of the late David and Eldora (Boutilier) Logan. Theodore worked for 30 years as a miner for Falconbridge Nickel Mines until his early retirement. Theodore loved fishing and hunting, adored his children and grandchildren, loved to spend time at the cottage in Sheet Harbour where he and his brother Craig went fishing and spent quality time the last months of his life. Clara Gwyneth Johnston The death of Clara Gwyneth Johnston, wife of Woodrow Johnston of Sunny Corner, NB, occurred on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at the Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home at the age of 85. Born in Boom Road, NB, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Jessie (Holmes) McAllister. Clara was a homemaker and a member of Boom Road Pentecostal Church, Boom Road. Besides her husband, Clara is survived by one sister; Kathleen Jardine of Etibocoke, ON, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Clara is predeceased by four brothers; Wilfred, Orville, Edward and William, three sisters; Mary Mullin, Vera Crocker and Florence Sutherland. The family received visitors at the Boom Road Pentecostal Church, Boom Road on Friday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service was held from the Boom Road Pentecostal Church on Saturday at 2 PM with Pastor Fred Williams officiating. Musicians were: Mary Matheson, Gwen Williams and Eleanor Travis. Congregational hymns were: "Great Is Thy Faithfulness," "He Hideth My Soul" and "My Savior First of All." Solo: "By His Grace" by: Laurie Curtis and Solo: "Consider the Lilies" by Blair Baisley. Scripture Reading by Brenda Nowlan. Eulogy by Dusty Johnstone. Active pallbearers were Sheldon Sutherland, Edward Killam, Lish Johnstone, Clarke Johnstone, Pat Mutch and Ted Mullin. Burial followed in the Boom Road Presbyterian Cemetery. In Clara's memory, donations may be made to the Boom Road Pentecostal Church Elevator Fund or the Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home. Mario was an avid gardener and wine maker and cultivated the most delicious tomatoes and fresh vegetables. He took great pride in his garden and his wine and shared both with family, friends and neighbours. Mario was a generous, giving father and grandfather and we will miss hearing him say "Here, go get yourself a coffee..." HODGE, George Briggs - After a lengthy illness. George died peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital Palliative Care Unit on Saturday, August 9, 2008 just 20 days short of his 87th birthday and 40 days short of his 65th wedding anniversary. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Eileen, his loving children Denise (Ed), Tim and Glenn. George was a loyal Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays fan and almost never missed their games on television. He enjoyed the simple things in life and always tried to look on the positive side even with his many health problems.
