MALHI, Tabitha September 11, 1987 - June 23, 2008 Our beloved Tabitha, the light of our lives, left us suddenly to be with the Lord Jesus. Among those grieving include her parents Rebecca and Ravi Malhi, grandparents Leonard and Sushila Joseph, Mohan and Harminder Malhi, and the Schultz and Shackel families. Also, she will be lovingly remembered by her aunts and uncle, Ruth and Gerald Solomon, Gonum Reddy, cousin Tamara Solomon, the Paul, Sugirtharaj, and Pichamuthu families, and numerous friends. In her short life, Tabitha touched so many people and we all pray that she has finally found peace. LOCKHART, David Robert Donald David Robert Donald Lockhart, much loved son of John A. and the late Margaret Lockhart of Huntingdon, Quebec passed away on June 24, 2008 in Vancouver where he had made his home for most of the last thirty years. David will be greatly missed by his twin brother Peter, his sisters Andrea and Nancy, his brother Robin, Murray Frum, Karyn Lockhart and Michael Bailey, his nieces and nephews Ryan, Alexis, Michael Tamara, Benjamin and Gabriel, dear friend Chris Mancini, and many cousins and extended family. David had a big heart and his circle included many, all of whom mourn his passing. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to our loving cousin Margaret Ramsdale. JENKINS, Richard (Rick) Kirk April 21, 1952 - June 24, 2008 Rick Jenkins of Calgary passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at the age of 56 years. Rick was the dearly loved friend and husband of Penny Pomeroy; and beloved younger son of Joyce of Calgary and Bob of High River, AB. He was predeceased by his brother Doug last September. HARRISON, Mary Passed away at the Peter Lougheed Centre on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at the wonderful age of 97 years. Mary was predeceased by her husband George (Don), sisters Gretta and Sara, brothers John and Adam. She is survived by her daughter Jane and son James (Tim); grandchildren Elizabeth and Kenneth and extended family Rick and Sherry Campbell, second son and daughter. She loved her yard and always took great pride in her own personal appearance, Mary was a very classy and special lady. Born and raised in Calgary, Norma leaves behind her husband Don Cruickshank; her daughters Teresa (Sean, Lindsay), Judy (Jordan, Coltan, Emma), Kathy (Al) Neurauter (Kyle, Dillon, Maddison); also by her stepsons Al (Pam) (Matthew, Brett), Dean, Jerry (Ashley) (great-granddaughter Emma-Lee), Darrell (Dana) (Brandon, Brock, Joshua and Zachary); also by her sisters Joyce Hillstead, Pat McKenzie and her brother Brian Hobbins. CRAIG, Jean (nee Buckles) May 21, 1929 - June 23, 2008 Jean Craig of Calgary, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2008. Jean will always be remembered for her great love of travel, art, theatre, literature and her garden. Her family and friends will miss her compassion, warmth and love for them. BAISCH, John July 26, 1918 - June 19, 2008 John Baisch, beloved father and grandfather, passed away June 19, 2008, in Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 89 years. He leaves to mourn, his daughter Carol, grandchildren Larie (Edward), Ryan, Leasa, Gerard (Karen), Clayton, Christian (Dana), several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Emily and father John, wife Elsie, brother Fred, son Gerry and great-granddaughter Theresa. John spent twenty-nine years as an employee of CNCP Telecommunications. After his retirement, he was an active volunteer, serving on the board of directors of the Victorian Order of Nurses, the Calgary Native Friendship Society, the Calgary Seniors' Resource Society, the National Council of CP Pensioners, the Calgary Terminal Credit Union and the Calgary Firefighters Credit Union. He was a life member of the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada and as a young man was an avid ham radio operator. At John's request, there will be no Funeral Service. OBITUARY JOANNE MURRAY MORSE Of Sherborn Ma. and Metis-sur-Mer, Quebec passed away on Monday, June 23, 2008 after fighting hard against a long illness. JoAnne was born in Chicago. Her parents were the late Gordon L. and Betty Lou Murray. While in high school, she moved to Bronxville N.Y, where she met and dated her future husband Bart Morse. Later, she transferred from Northwestern University in Illinois to Wilson College in Pa., to be closer to Bart. They were married in 1970, lived in Needham for 12 years and moved to Sherborn in 1987. JoAnne was a systems analyst and programmer for many years and then retired to devote her time, talents and love to her husband, home, family and community. She and her husband spent parts of the last 33 summers at their summer home at Metis-sur-Mer, Quebec. JoAnne is survived by her husband Bart, her brother and his wife Gordon and Sue Murray, her sister in-law Joan Eaton, her cousin and his wife John and Rose Murray, three nieces, one nephew, two great nephews and two god children. A memorial service was held at the Pilgrim Church 25 Main St. Sherborn on Sunday June 29, 2008 at 1 p.m., with the Rev. John Hudson officiating. Private interment took place at Pine Hill Cemetery Sherborn. There were no funeral home calling hours. OBITUARY JOHN FOX Suddenly, in his beloved Venice, Italy, on 16 June 2008 at the age of eighty. Survived by his adoring wife Sandra Paikowsky, his daughters Angelica (Gary Graves) and Marietta, his three grandsons and his sister Cecily Foss. A man of intellect and wisdom, John was a painter for whom colour was a metaphor for the emotions and dignity of the unassuming moments of life. His goodness, his integrity and his understanding of the meaning of painting made him a mentor to many young artists. John's ashes were interred at the Cimitero San Michele. WADE, Alistair John Died peacefully on June 26, 2008, at the Ottawa General Hospital, in his 87th year, with family by his side. Devoted husband for 60 years to Dorothy (nee Diodato); best friend to only daughter Heather; sportsmate to son-in-law Randy; "silly" Grandpa to Kevin (19) and Kristy (17); "sweet man" to all who knew him. Predeceased by siblings David, Bill and Marguerite Wade. Survived by brother Donald (and wife Della), both aged 97! After serving in the Air Force in WWII, he graduated from a class of nine in Engineering Physics at McGill University. He enjoyed a long and well respected career at Bell Canada, in charge of Government Communications, and then a short stint as a Satellite Consultant for Telsat, before his retirement. The last 20 years have been spent enjoying family, friends, his winter condo in Cocoa Beach, and his favourite pastimes of golf, tennis and fishing. Alistair will be remembered as an extremely principled, intelligent, humourous and sociable man. Beloved by all whom he touched. He will be sadly missed. Special thanks to Dr. Andrew Seely, the Thoracic team, and nurses at the Ottawa General, and the many ladies of St. Timothy's Presbyterian Church, who drove Dorothy to the hospital daily. Labonté fut conseiller à la Ville de Thetford Mines durant de nombreuses années. Le service religieux a été célébré en l’église Notre-Dame-de-la-Présentation. LORD, Dean Eldon 2008-06-27 1933 - 2008 Known as Dean, Dad and Poppa (husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend). He was the most honest man we‘ve ever known. His pleasures were simple; puttering in his workshop, wholesome foods and the sound of a summer rain. His loves were great and they were the centre of his life; his wife of 45 years, Kaye, children Roma, Lisa (David) and Regan (Jenna), along with his grandchildren Céline, Alec, Cole and Josh. He was, in every essence, a family man. Dean taught us about loyalty, ethics, dedication and hard work. He worked diligently and tirelessly for others. When thanked, he always responded with "that wasn‘t work, it was a pleasure". Dean was an instrument mechanic, highly skilled and respected in his trade, but he was knowledgeable of and talented in so many other fields. Every task he performed was done with the utmost care and precision. He instilled in us a desire to do all things well. "Any job worth doing is worth doing well". In his last year, Dean dealt with his illness with grace and tenacity, always reassuring and comforting others in their grief. In his final days, heaven was in his hospital room as his family gathered together and shared the last month of his life. The love that surrounded Dean then will be carried in our hearts forever. Born April 21, 1933 in Carragana, Saskatchewan to Walter and Agnes Lord, Dean was raised in Dryden and, as a young adult, moved to Red Rock, the place he loved best. Dean passed away June 26, 2008. He is survived by his wife, children and their spouses, grandchildren, twin sister Elaine, brother Buckley, sister Eileen, numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and two sisters, Lenore and Valoree. In Dean‘s memory, please give selflessly of yourselves to others. Your time and kindness are life‘s greatest gifts.

HAMMERSTROM, Evelyn Myrtle (nee McKenzie) - At Eastholme, Powassan on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 in her 92nd year. Predeceased in 2007 by her loving husband of 70 years Harry Gustav Hammerstrom, and dear mother to Elsa and her husband Bruce Wain of Restoule. Evelyn was born in Cobalt, the youngest daughter of James Clarence McKenzie and Pearl Amelia Moore. She was predeceased by her sister Margaret Robertson, and many years before by her brother Raymond and her father who were victims of the 1920s Spanish-influenza epidemic. Evelyn had a 'green thumb' and a knack for growing lush plants and wonderful friendships. There are those in the Kirkland Lake area who may recall her as their self-taught instructor of yoga. She will be fondly remembered by the many friends whose lives she touched and the many Hammerstrom and Wain nieces and nephews. At her request, cremation to take place immediately, interment of ashes at Restoule Cedar Grove Cemetery at a later date. There will be no service. Jeannine Delisle Toupin of Kamloops, British Columbia, died peacefully and bravely, surrounded by her family, on June 18, 2008 shortly after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. She was 71. Mrs. Toupin is survived by her loving children Paul (Gloria) Toupin of Blezard Valley Ontario, Lise (Michael) Cote of Monte Lake, B. C., Roger Toupin of Kamloops, Suzanne (Sandy) Toupin of Kamloops, Michael (Joanne) Toupin of Kamloops, Lynne (Cliff) Lattin of Pemberton, B. C., and Carole Fuller of Kamloops; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; brothers Yvon and Alphonse and loving sisters Yolande and Fernande; many caring nieces and nephews, as well as many caring sisters- and brothers-in-law. She was predeceased by her loving husband Arthur in 1990, companion Fred Kalmakoff in 2007, brothers Real and Marcel, sister Simone, son Raymond in 1982, and a beautiful great-granddaughter. The funeral service was conducted June 21 in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Father Peter Hoan Nguyen.

HATT, KENNETH OSBORNE - At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on June 25th, 2008, Mr. Kenneth Osborne Hatt, husband of Madolyn (Hannan) Hatt of Utopia NB. Born at St. Stephen NB on February 9th, 1946, he was a son of Isabella (McNichol) Hatt and the late Arnold Reid Hatt. A loving husband, father, son and brother, he is survived by his wife Madolyn; two sons, Daniel Hatt (Louisa Madsen) of St. Stephen, Joel Hatt of Utopia; his mother, Isabella Hatt of Blacks Harbour NB; six brothers, Arnold Jr. (Frances), Allan (Barb), Colin (Edna) all of Utopia, Dale (Connie) of Pennfield NB, Brian (Jane) and David (Beth) both of St. George; five sisters, Patricia (Ronnie) Roy of St. George, Gertrude (George) Paul, Betty Marshall, Jane (Brian) Ward and Dorothy (Jeff) Hanley all of Utopia and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Kenny was predeceased by his father, Arnold Reid Hatt. Kenny and his wife Madolyn were the owner operators of Utopia Convenience at Lake Utopia. He was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed gardening and heavy equipment. He was an avid outdoorsmen who liked to hunt and fish and was a former member of the ATV Riders Association. Kenny was a very friendly person who made many friends and attended church at the Cornerstone Tabernacle at St. George. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Resting at the Cornerstone Tabernacle Church (33 Manor Road) St. George NB, from where the service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gordon Cooke, Rev. Reg Ferris and Rev. Calvin MacDonald officiating followed by interment at the Bocabec Community Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. In Kenny's memory, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. Brian Stafford Russell 1955-2008 Mr. Brian Stafford Russell, loving husband of Karen (O'Connell) Russell, of 40 Williston Drive, Miramichi, NB passed away Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the age of 53. Born in Newcastle, NB Brian was the son of the late Stafford and Helen (Jardine) Russell and is survived by his wife, Karen (O'Connell) Russell; his mother, Helen; and two brothers, Steve and Terry (Allison) of Miramichi. Brian is also survived by aunts; nieces; nephews; grand nieces; grand nephews and God children and was predeceased by his father Stafford. Brian and Karen were married twenty two years ago by the late Father James Smith in Chatham Head, NB. Brian was employed by Sunny Corner Enterprises Inc. He was a member of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipe fitters Local 799, and also a member of 254 RCAFA Miramichi Wing. Brian rested at Northumberland Funeral Home on Sunday, June 22, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9. Vigil prayers were held at the funeral home at 8pm on Sunday evening. Mass of Christian Burial was held at the Nativity of The Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Chatham Head, NB at 11am on June 23, 2008 with father Bob McGuire officiating. His nephew Murray played the bagpipes, while his niece Amanda accompanied on the drums, as Brian was going into, and leaving, the church. Brian's favorite daily prayer "Prayer of St Francis of Assis" was sung by Jacqueline Allain and she also sang the Communion Hymn "Ave Maria". Soloist Kevin Driscoll, Brian's friend and neighbor, rendered the hymns "Here I am Lord" and "On Eagles Wings". Guitarist Bob MacCallum sang "Old Rugged Cross". Jacqueline Allain, Kevin Driscoll and Bob MacCallum sang "I Will Never Forget You". Readings were delivered by nieces Kim Charters, Heidi Miller, and Shirley Riorden. A eulogy on the celebration of Brian's life was given by brother-in-law Tom Fitzpatrick in which he also thanked everyone who visited, called, sent cards, and prayed with Brian during the past few months; he enjoyed you all. Members of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipe fitters Local 799 formed an Honor Guard. Active Pallbearers were Clayton McCombs, Thomas Fitzpatrick, Richard Irlam, Byron Miller, Budrow Tozer, and Bill Schenkels. Honorary Pallbearers were Sean Elms, Liam Elms, Mary Ramsay, Jody Barry, Reta O'Connell, Ann Miller, Marion Fitzpatrick, John Trevors, Laurie Nowlan, Bruce Dickson, Mike Bleakney, George Cairns, Bob McCallum, Danny MacCarthy, Gary Charters, George Barry, Ron McLaughlin, Paul McCarthy, Joey Daley, Clark Fraser, Blaine Jenkins, Herbie Jenkins, Ron Morrison, Bob McDonald, Thomas Ramsay, and Lou Walsh. Karen would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Carl Hudson and Dr. Alexander Lubin for all that they did for Brian.
