Beloved wife of Jean-Jacques for forty-six years. Loving mother of Richard (Beverley) and Christine (Darryl) and proud grandmother of Garon, Haley, Sam, Bryce and Chelsea. She will be also greatly missed by her siblings Anne, Diane, Claudia, Patsy, Michael, Emily, Elaine, Faye and Gwen, their families, many other relatives and by many good friends. THOMS, Doris. 1914-2007. On Friday, March 9, 2007 in her ninety-second year, Doris passed away peacefully at Concordia Place in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Doris was born in Montreal (Verdun), the first child of the late Alexander and Lavinia Bessie Thoms. Her much loved brother Cyril, who died in the war, her dear niece Allison Bristow and best friend Betty Duguid, predeceased her. She was an important part of our lives and will be greatly missed by her sister Muriel McLintock, nephew John (Bev) Bristow, and niece Alyce (Richard) Elinor, her great nephews Rob Bristow and Ryan (Jaimie) Bristow and her great-great-niece Sofia. Doris worked for CNR her whole working life and they have taken good care of her during retirement. She was a member of the congregation of St. Mark's Anglican Church in Saint-Laurent. Condolences may be sent to Muriel McLintock, #25 - 258 Lower Ganges Road, Salt Spring Island, B.C. V8K 1S7. Her ashes will be carried to Montreal this summer where prayers will be said at her graveside. MOHR, Alfred - With peace and dignity, and with his wife and son at his bedside, Alfred Mohr passed away on April 23, 2007 at the Trillium Specialty Care Center at the age of 82. Alfred courageously fought Parkinson's disease for the past 11 years. Alfred is survived by is wife of 57 years, Gertrude Mohr (Kingston, Ontario), his son, Steven Mohr (Calgary, Alberta), predeceased by his daughter-in-law Claire Mohr), and brother & sister-in-law, Gerhard & Elfriede Schuckert (Kingston, Ontario). Respected by all and admired by many, he will be sorely missed by those who knew him and his family that loved him. May he be in God's graces. WEBB, Charles Alfred - On Wednesday, April 25, 2007 surrounded by his loving family, Charles left to join his wife of sixty two years Mary Jean Atherton Hall (June 9, 2006). Loved father of Beverley (Dean) Culliford, Dennis (Helen) Webb, Dale (Joan) Webb and Dean (Brenda) Webb. Will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Susan, John, Stephanie, Nathaniel, Amber, Rachael, Owen and Matthew and his great-granddaughter Tia. Brother of Velma Russell and Doug (Nancy) Webb. Brother- in-law of Agnes Wilson, Tom (Ethel) Atherton, Shirley (Peter) Nazwaski, Myrtle (Malcolm) Wardman, Emily (Pat) Gorman and Joyce Webb. Predeceased by his brothers Roy (2005) and Carl (2006). Charles was a veteran of WWII serving with the 48th Highlanders in the Canadian Army in Sicily and Italy. He was a postal carrier in St. Catharines for 34 years until his retirement in 1979. An avid lawn bowler, he was a member of the Glenridge Lawn Bowling Club for many years and later Port Dalhousie LBC. He was involved in many of the activities at Ina Grafton Gage and will be missed by the friends he made there. Charles was involved in both his children's and grandchildren's sport activities always appearing on the sidelines to cheer them on. Elle était la mère de Lise St-Hilaire épouse de Malcolm Giffin, la grand-maman de Jean-Marc, Jason et de Elisabeth, la soeur de feu Roméo (feu Alice Blais), feu Armande (feu Amédé Martineau), Jean-Aimé (feu Yvonne Jacques), Roland (feu Madeleine Deslauriers), feu Roger (feu Antonia Bernier), feu Fernand (Jacqueline Hamel), feu Thérèse (Donald Jacques), Liliane (feu Ovide Lévesque) feu Réal (Thérèse Provost), feu Conrad (feu Cécile Poulin), Benoit (Monique Grondin) et de Raymond (Denise Tardif). Elle laisse également dans le deuil ses beaux-frères et belles-soeurs ainsi que de nombreux autres parents et amis. Le service religieux a été célébré en l'église St-Alphonse de Thetford Mines.
