MANCHEE Annie (nee Malansky) January 21, 1932 - April 19, 2007 Annie Manchee passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, AB on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at the age of 75. She was predeceased by her mother, Anne, and two brothers, Alex and Bill. She is survived by her eight children, Jim (Deb), Steve (Diane), Alex (Barbara), Richard (Leslie), Bonnie (Art), Nick (Kathy), Harry (Tammy) and Patricia; grandchildren, Cheryl, Michelle, Tina, Michael, Jayme, Jason, Jared, Kyle, Lindsay, Chelsey, James, Danny, Derek, Tony, Nicole, Shania; and great-grandchildren, Dominique, Brock, Alexis and Jersey. Annie was born and raised in Newcastle, AB. She was educated in the Drumheller school system and spent the years of her life living in the valley, watching her children grow and then marry, later enjoying the youth and vibrancy of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a flair for design and decorating; showcasing this natural talent in the many delicate doilies, beautiful tablecloths and sweaters she crocheted and knitted. Annie embraced colour, brightness and beauty; always ensuring her home and garden were decorated with polished detail. Annie’s children and grandchildren alike can recall how each time a visit to “Grandma’s” kitchen reminded them of a bake shop. The rich aroma of baked breads, cakes and pastries always welcomed them home. Her cooking was “second-to-none”, most recipes she conjured up at a moments notice, using any ingredients she could find available in the pantry. A master chef at best, Annie always made sure there was plenty of food to go around. As our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Annie will be forever missed, forever treasured, loved always and never forgotten. The family wishes to express gratitude and thanks to the doctors and nursing staff who attended Annie during her stays at the Drumheller and Foothills hospitals - your kindness and thoughtful care is appreciated and will always be remembered. A private service was held Sunday, April 22, 2007, at Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Drumheller Health Authority #5 and S.T.A.R.S.

PALMER, ELLA FAYE The passing of Ella Faye Palmer, of North Bay, ON, wife of Robin Palmer, occurred on April 21, 2007 in North Bay, ON. Born in Ludlow, NB, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Ella May (Smith) Clowater. Ella was a Registered Nurse and had worked for the D.V.A. Hospital and the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was a member of the Boiestown Pentecostal Church, enjoyed knitting, quilting and crocheting. Besides her husband, Ella is survived by one son, Elton Palmer (Marilyn) of North Bay, ON; two daughters, Connie Faye Palmer and Keana Wheaton both of Saint John, NB; nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Palmer (Claude) of Boiestown, NB and Evelyn O'Donnell of Ludlow, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers, Everett, Roy, Benjamin and Darrell. Visitation will take place at the Boiestown Pentecostal Church, Boiestown, NB on Thursday, April 26th, 2007 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will take place from the church on Friday, April 27th, 2007 at 2 pm with Pastor Robert Hanson officiating. Interment will be held in the Astle Community Cemetery, Astle, NB. CRAWFORD, Bruce James - Of Cargill, passed away at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 in his 68th year. Bruce worked in the telephone industry his whole career and was the proprietor of Cargill Telephone for the past 20 years. He was very actively involved in Telephone Collectors International and Antique Telephone Collectors and was the Editor Emeritus of Switchers Quarterly, a newsletter that covered telephone collectors worldwide. He also had a great interest in street cars and the Toronto Transit Commission. Bruce had no family, yet had a large family of friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at CAMERON FUNERAL HOME, Walkerton from 9 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m. Interment Parklawn Cemetery, Toronto. FUDGE, ROY LEONARD "ROBBIE" - Roy Leonard "Robbie" Fudge of Edith Avenue passed away at the SJRH on April 23, 2007. Robbie was born in Saint John on August 19, 1956 and was the son of Eileen (Parfitt) Fudge and the late Merton Fudge. As a young man Robbie moved to Banff, Albt. for the purpose of becoming a chef. Upon returning to Saint John he worked for various hotels and restaurants throughout the city; the Granada, Holiday Inn and Delta as well as Diana's Restaurant and the Riviera. Robbie was an entrepreneur and spent most Sundays at Rhoda's Flea Market selling his products until most recently opening his own store, "The Gladstone Trader's" on Prince Edward Street. He loved Bingo and playing Texas Holdem but most of all his family. In addition to his mother Eileen, he is survived by his wife Donna (Fox) Fudge, son Kenneth Fudge (Jessica Fudge) of Saint John, daughters; Susan Marie Fudge (Jason Hicks) of Moncton and Jennifer Fudge (Brad Ross) of Saint John, sisters; Carol Ann Dunn (Curtis Webb), Colleen Fudge (Kevin Nickerson), Cindy Fudge (Jack Thorne) and Charlene Crowley (Tony Crowley), all of Saint John. Also survived by grandchildren; Kaden Zachery Merton Fudge, Cassidy Ross, Mallory Ross, Selena Ross and Brandon Ross as well as several nieces and nephews, one god child Kendra Fudge and special friends; David Williston, Paul Saulnier, Abraao and Gloria Magalhaes, and Jamie Whitenect. Robbie will be fondly remembered by his family, friends and poker buddies. Mathieu Wales Mise à jour le mardi 24 avril 2007 Par: AP MONCTON - Mathieu Wales, fils de Jeannette Landry et de feu Gordon Wales (2000), de Moncton et anciennement de Fredericton, est décédé subitement à Halifax, après avoir été traité à l’Hôpital régional Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont aux Soins coronaires pendant deux jours et transporté d’urgence par ambulance au Coronary Care Unit de l’Hôpital Queen Elizabeth II, le vendredi 20 avril, pour un problème sérieux dû à une infection virale qui a causé une inflammation de son coeur. Il était entouré de sa mère et de sa marraine, Simone MacGillivray, à Halifax et il sera pleuré et regretté par une nombreuse famille d’oncles et de tantes, de cousins et cousines, du côté des Landry. Il était également très aimé par une tante et marraine du côté de son père, Mary Jean Liiv (Henry) de Hamilton, en Ontario et il gardait de bons souvenirs de quelques cousines de son père. Le corps sera incinéré et la famille organisera plus tard une cérémonie pour célébrer sa trop courte vie. Dumont Hospital before being transferred by ambulance to the Coronary Care Unit of the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital on April 20th, for a serious problem due to a viral infection which caused heart inflammation. PERRAULT, SANDRA ANNE COLLEEN "SANDY" - age 66 years of Dartmouth passed away peacefully Saturday April 21, 2007 at the Q.E. II Health Sciences Centre "Victoria General Site" in Halifax, surrounded by her loving family. She died as she lived, with dignity and grace. Sandy gave us many things in life, gifts both great and small but most of all she gave us love, the greatest gift of all. Sandy the youngest daughter of the late Roy and Bertha McCullum was born in Saint John, New Brunswick in 1940. The family moved to Dartmouth in 1959. She graduated from St. Peters Commercial School in 1960 and worked for the Federal Government in Halifax. In 1963 Sandy married Wayne and they lived in Montreal, Germany and Debert before settling in Dartmouth in 1974. She was a working Mom and her children Joe and Julie remember fun times skating, swimming, playing games and exploring life with her. Sandy will be remembered by her close friends with whom she shared many happy times. She will be dearly missed by her husband Wayne, son Joe, daughter Julie, sister Lucille Roxborough, brother Doug and his wife Judy, and her sister-in-law Dianne Myers. Nana's special grandsons Joshua and Nathan. Nieces Wendy and Guylaine, nephews David, Jonathan, Jeff, Jeremy and Paul. She was predeceased by her sister Betty, brothers-in-law Rusty Chambers, Donald Myers and John Roxborough. Also remembered with love and fond memories are Sandy's family and friends in Saint John, NB. There will be no visitation by request. Funeral mass will be 9:00 A.M. Thursday April 26 in St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church (Windmill Rd.) A reception will follow in the parish hall. Internment will be in Mount Hermon Cemetery. BROWN, Norma Shirley (nee Johnson). Very peacefully on April 20, 2007 aged seventy-nine years. Shirley was born in Montreal on October 26, 1927 and was predeceased by her loving husband and best friend Charles Knox Brown. She is survived by her adoring daughters Ann (Bill Ritchie) and Debra (Daniel Lessard). She will be sorely missed by her grandchildren Alexander and Darcy Ritchie, Christian and Charles-Adrian Lessard. She is also survived by her sister Jill Johnson of Toronto. Loving husband of Kerry (King) of Sarnia and the late Ellen (nee Kidd) (1987). Loved father of James and Karen Forsythe of Brandon, Manitoba and their son Navan, Shaun and Kathy Forsythe of London and their sons Aidan and Nolan and Colleeen Forsythe of Petrolia. Dear step-father of Kathy and Tim Carson of Sarnia and their children, Lindsay and Jamie, and Joan and Randy Lebert of Wyoming. He is also survived by a step-brother Tommy Forsythe of Northern Ireland and numerous brothers and sisters in-law, nieces and nephews in Canada and Northern Ireland. He was predeceased by a sister Mary Gilchrist and step-brothers Billy and Johnny Forsythe. Jim and his family came to Canada in 1957 and served in many charges with the United Church. Il a travaillé pour Dobson Construction avant de prendre sa retraite. PLIMMER, NIGEL EDWIN (NIC) January 21, 1943 - April 22, 2007 Nic died at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital after a brief illness, surrounded by loving family and the caring angels of DECH 4NW. Born in Glasgow, Scotland he was the only child of Lt. Cdr. (RN ret.) Edwin Daniel and Alison (Lowe) Plimmer. His family lived in many parts of the world due to his father's distinguished naval career. When Nic's career dream of following in his father's footsteps was broken due to colour-blindness, he joined the British Civil Service. He married his wife of 43 years, Janice (Allen), in 1963 and they emigrated to Canada in 1965. They fell in love with and remained in New Brunswick. His beloved sons, Dan and Chris were born in Moncton in 1972 and 1974. Nic became a talented cabinetmaker and established the Pine Shop in Hopewell Cape in 1976. After a motor vehicle accident cut short that career, he went to University for the first time at the age of 39 and obtained an education degree. He progressed from teacher to counselor and found his true calling working with behaviour-disordered children. Albert County was always the home of his heart, but the family moved to Fredericton in 1991 so that Nic could take a position as a School Supervisor. He retired in 2003 but continued to work in his field as a consultant. In addition to his wife, Nic is survived by sons Chris (Mary) of Moncton, Dan of Taipei, his mother Alison (Lowe) Plimmer of Norfolk, England and grandchildren Takoda and Ciara. He will also be missed by sister-in-law, Elizabeth of Norfolk, England At Nic's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. After cremation, his ashes will be spread in his beloved Albert County. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. GADOURY, Laurent “Laurence“ - It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Mr. Laurent Gadoury announces his passing at the Kirkland & District Hospital on April 20, 2007, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Laurence is predeceased by his parents Michel and Albina (née Rheault) Gadoury. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his spouse Shirley Neldon of Kirkland Lake; sister-in-law Shelby Smith (Gerry Rodgers); his beloved children Jeannette and Philip Gadoury; stepchildren John (spouse Maria) Klawitter of Scarborough, Floyd (spouse Theresa) Klawitter of Atlanta, Georgia, Larry (spouse Lisa) Klawitter of Houston, Texas, Cliff (spouse Jane) Klawitter of Venice, Florida and Carl (spouse Dawn) Klawitter of Atlanta, Georgia; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn his brothers Gerald (spouse Marlene) Gadoury of Burlington, Don Gadoury of Kirkland Lake, Bert (spouse Cecile) of Timmins; nieces and nephews Jocelyne, Shawn, Ryan, Lionel and Sandra. Laurence was born and raised in Ramore then relocated to Kirkland Lake where he began his employment with Heath & Sherwood for 41 years. He enjoyed playing slow pitch ball for Heath & Sherwood, curling and watching the Legion '87's hockey. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held on May 15, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the St- Laurent Cemetery in Ramore. JOHNSON, Eugene “Gene” - Passed away at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Saturday April 21, 2007 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of 61 years to Jeanne (Gaudreau) Johnson. Dearly loved father of Jimmy (Debbie) Johnson , Gerry (Angele) Johnson of Niagara Falls and Doug Johnson of Calgary. KENNEDY, Robert “Bob“ - The family of Robert “Bob“ Kennedy sadly announces his peaceful passing at the Brantford General Hospital on Monday, April 23rd, 2007 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Jan (nee Millar). Much loved father of Dave and his wife Helen of Brantford and predeceased by infant son Richard. Adoring grandfather of Jacob Robert Kennedy and his wife Rene. Bob graduated from McGill University in 1942 as an electrical engineer and then served overseas in the Second World War with the Royal Engineering Corps, achieving the rank of Captain and was mentioned in dispatches. Subsequently he was an engineer at Koehring-Waterous and then started teaching at B.C.I&V.S.. Bob served as a Ward 1 Alderman until 1964 and then became a Brantford Township Councilor, Reeve and County Warden. His political career spanned 37 years. Bob served as chairman of the Board of Governors of Mohawk College where he was involved for over 5 years.
