Elle était fille de feu Alfred Thibault et de feu Elise Paradis. Elle laisse dans le deuil un fils, Martin (Gaétanne Godin) de Maisonnette; deux filles: Sylvie (Bernard Albert) de l’Anse-Bleue et Denise Poirier de Caraquet; un petit-fils, Jocelyn; cinq soeurs: Georgette (feu Germain Tremblay), Denise (feu Patrick Duchêne) et Carmen (Roger Coulombe), toutes de Dolbeau, Raymonde (Marcelin Ouellette d’Albanel, Qc, Pierrette (Charles Gaudet) de Saint-Georges de Beauce; une demi-soeur, Marie-Marthe (Loronzo Guay) d’Alma. Deux frères: Richer et Rénald; une soeur, Laurence; deux demi-soeurs: Jeanne D’Arc et Paquerette, ainsi que son ami de coeur pendant 20 ans, Albanie Power, l’ont précédée dans la tombe. La dépouille mortelle de Mme Poirier sera exposée à compter de 14h, le mardi 24 avril, au salon LeGresley de Grande-Anse. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Théophile de Maisonnette, le mercredi 25 avril, à 16h. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial, plus tard ce printemps. Heures de visites: le mardi 24 avril, de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h et le mercredi 25 avril, de 14h à 15h30. À la demande de la famille, un don à la Société du cancer serait apprécié. FERGUSON, Ross - (Ret. Police Sergeant, Owen Sound Police Services) Peacefully after a lengthy battle, at the Grey Bruce Health services in Owen Sound on Saturday April 21, 2007. In his 69th year, Edwin Ross Ferguson the loving husband and best friend of Sandra (nee Kellough). Proud father of Kevin, of Owen Sound. Dear brother of Ken and his wife Sharron of Brampton. Brother-in-law of Jack and Muriel Kellough; of Goderich and Penny and Bill Walpole; of Owen Sound. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and his late wife Yvonne, by his brother Glenn and his late wife Elaine Ferguson and by his sister Georgina (Mrs. Frank Paul). KINGSTON, Charles Albert Chuck (1937 - 2007) - It's with great sadness that the family announces the passing of their much-loved husband, father and grandfather on Friday, April 20th, 2007. Chuck passed away at Henderson General Hospital, in Hamilton, peacefully and with dignity with his loving family at this side. Predeceased by his parents John and Mildred (nee Cassidy) Kingston. YOUNG, Evelyn Margaret Helen (nee Whitehead) Peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at the age of 78. Predeceased by her first husband Paul Charnicki and her second husband Gray Young. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Luciano Cuglietta) and three grandchildren Christopher, Melissa and Alannah. She leaves behind all her brothers and sisters of Western Canada, David, Lloyd, Georgina, Irene, Sybil, Gordon and Faith as well as many nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. LEPPARD, Allen “Skip“ Ross - Following a courageous battle with cancer, Allen “Skip“ Leppard passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 1, 2007 in his 75th year. Cherished husband and best friend of Margaret Jean (nee Robertson) for 56 years. Loving father of Murray Leppard (Debbie), Christine Norman (Bill), Janice Clapham (Kevin), Marlene Hazlett (Doug), Patricia Markle (Brian), Rodney Leppard (Karen) and Scott Leppard. Lovingly remembered by Graham Thorpe and his family, and by Sandra Leppard. Brother to Mazie (Harvey) Drager. Predeceased by his parents J.A. LESSARD, Stafford - Passed away peacefully at the Port Colborne Hospital on Sunday April 22, 2007 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Jamesina (Jaye) with whom he had shared 58 years of marriage. Cherished father of Bob Lessard (Arlene) of Port Colborne, Louise Anne of Toronto and Elaine Scriven (Bill) of Woodstock, Ontario. Much loved Grandpa of Brett and Chelsea Scriven, he will be sadly missed. Stafford was a kind and loving husband and father, a wonderful inspiration for his children and always knew how to make his grandchildren smile. He is the dear brother of Veronica Kelly (John) of Kingston and is survived by several nieces and nephews. Stafford was the son of the late Francis and Dora Lessard of Flinton, Ontario and was also predeceased by four brothers, Almonde, Clayton, Harold and Raymond and by a sister, Madeline. Stafford came to Port Colborne in 1941 and was employed at Inco for 36 years until his retirement in 1977. He was a veteran of World War II, having served overseas for several years and was a long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 56. Bernadette Cormier SACKVILLE - The death of Bernadette Cormier, age 74, wife of Camille Cormier, of Sackville occurred suddenly at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Sunday, April 22, 2007. She was a daughter of the late Aladdin and Genevieve (Bourque) Cormier A mother, she loved her home and her family. Interested in people in her community, together with her husband, Camille, she attended numerous community functions. She was a member of the St. Vincent Roman Catholic Church and life member of the Sackville Rod and Gun Club and former member of the Sackville Lion's Club. Bernadette's sudden passing has left her family deeply saddened, she will be long remembered and sadly missed by her husband, Camille Cormier, Sackville; two sons, Leopaul (Sheila), Moncton and Donald (Gladys Smith), Sackville; a daughter, Joanne, Sackville; two granddaughters, Laura, Moncton and Katelyn, Sackville; a step grandson, Jason (Monica) Kaye, Sackville; three great step grandchildren, Joseph, Matthew and Lindsay; four sisters, Anida Arsenault, St. Joseph, Bernice (Yvon) Melanson, Pre d'en haut, Yvonne (Georgie) Duguay, Shippigan and Alina LeBlanc, Dieppe; a special niece, Denise Davidsen, Edmonton, AB; as well as several nieces and nephews. McLAUGHLIN, RITA M. - The death of Rita (Cavanaugh) McLaughlin, wife of John McLaughlin of Saint John, NB, occurred on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Milltown, NB, on June 3, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Hebert and Annie (Francoeur) Cavanaugh. Rita was dedicated to her faith and was a member of St. Pius X Church. She was a member of the Home and School Program, Blockparent and the CWL. Rita was an avid volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital, where she was a "fixture" in the lobby, selling tickets for fundraisers. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a devoted wife of 58 years. Besides her husband, Rita is survived by her sons, Joseph (Deborah) of Saint John, Wm. Michael of Vancouver, BC, Dr. John L. McLaughlin of Toronto, ON, Robert (Janet) of Quispamsis, Dr. David McLaughlin (Alison) of Edmonton, AB, Peter of Montreal, PQ; daughters, Ann Marie of Quispamsis, Teresa Gallant (Kenneth) of Rothesay, NB, and Helen of Vancouver, BC; her brother, Vincent Cavanaugh of London, ON; ten grandchildren, Angella Mercer, Paula Thomas, Catherine Hovey, Joel Machum, Mackenzie and Patrick Gallant, John, Laura, Ellen and Paul McLaughlin; two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Amelia Mercer; and several nieces and nephews. NASON, WALTER MELVIN Walter Melvin Nason, 72, of Fredericton passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Friday April 20th, 2007. Born on August 4, 1934 in Fredericton Junction, Walter was the son of the later Victor and Clara (Hartt) Nason. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Audrey (Peterson); sons, Roger (Wendy) of Moncton, Paul (June) of Saint John; and grandchildren, Bradley, Gregory, Matthew, Ryan and Jillian. Walter was predeceased by his sister, Miriam, and is survived by brothers, Vernon (Irma), Ross (Ida), Burt (Jackie); and sisters, Glenna Bell and Carol King. Walter graduated from UNB Fredericton with a degree in Survey Engineering in 1963, and worked for NB Power until his retirement in 1993. In 2000, Walter took a position as the Planned Giving Officer for the Chalmers Foundation where he worked until 2005. Walter was very involved in his community and was a member of many organizations, including the Capital Winter Club, YMCA, Golden Club, Gage Golf Club, and Prostate Cancer Support Group. Walter was a life member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of NB and the Past President of the Association of New Brunswick Land Surveyors. Walter was very active in the sport of curling on many levels. As a player his achievements included playing in the 1972 Brier, two Senior Legion Nationals, and winning the 1994 Canadian Senior Curling Championships with a team that was inducted to the Fredericton Sports Wall of Fame. Walter was a CCA certified Curling Coach, Instructor and builder of the sport. He volunteered for, and chaired many events, and was the Past President of the New Brunswick Curling Association. Visitation will be at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home, Fredericton on Tuesday April 24th, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Born in Moncton he was the son of the late Manning and Annie (Ward) Milton. Arnold retired in 1980 as Outside Foreman Storage Dept., CNR. He attended Berry Mills Baptist Church. He was a veteran of W.W.II having served overseas with the Royal Canadian Navy. Arnold was an active member of the Riverview Volunteer Fire Dept. for many years. He is survived by his wife, Annie Briggs-Milton; his son, James Milton (Joyce) of Quispamsis; his two grandsons, Scott of New Liskeard, ON, and Trent of Halifax; step children, Malcolm F. Briggs (Kathy) of Riverview, Cheryl-Ann Briggs Huxter (Kenneth G.) of Steady Brook, NF, Daryl A. Briggs of Berry Mills, and Jo-Leigh R. Briggs Lutes (John) of Steeves Mountain; his sister, Alma Melanson (Thomas) of Riverview; nieces, nephews; twelve step grandchildren; and nine step great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his 1st wife, Eileen (Sherwood) Milton. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home Pine Glen Rd. Riverview on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Basil Lee Atkinson Basil Lee Atkinson, a resident of Chatham, Ontario, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 21, 2007 in his 68th year. Basil is the son of the late Walter and Ivah (Lewis) Atkinson. BOSENCE, ROWLAND O. (CA) - Passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by family, on Saturday, April 21, 2007. Son of the late Percival and Kate (Ervine) Bosence. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 61 years, Ethel (Thompson); son, Bruce (Dianne) Bosence; and was devoted to his three grandchildren, Shelley (Scott) Mason, Julie, Greg; and his two great grandchildren, Sydney and Drew Mason. Also surviving are his two nieces, Janet (Les) Kierstead and Carmen (Clint) Webb; three great nephews and one great niece. In addition to his parents, Rowland was predeceased by his brother, Percival; a sister, Lillian McDiarmid. Rowland was a veteran of the "Corvette Navy" in WWII. He was a member of The Byng Boys, as well as a current member of the Board of Governors of, and a past National Representative, Chairman, and Treasurer of the Executive of The Corps of Commissionaires NB/PEI Division. He had been an avid skier and for many years an organist at the Church of the Good Shepherd. PAGETT, MARJORIE - Marjorie Pagett of Sussex passed away on April 21, 2007 at the age of 96. Marjorie was the wife of the late Joseph Arthur Pagett, who passed away in 1972. She is survived by her son, Ernest Pagett (Sylvia) of Markhamville; three daughters, Doris Buchanan (Eldon) of Rockville, Joan Doherty (Joe) of Apohaqui, Carol Floyd (Clifford) of Apohaqui; her sisters-in-law, Jean Kaye of Sussex, Glenna Kaye of Jacksonville, FL, and Jean Kaye of Sussex Corner; ten Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Marjorie was predeceased by her sister, Doris Hoyt; five brothers, Elvin, Wesley, Roy, William and Walter Kaye; and by her daughter-in-law, Freda (Crawford) Pagett, who passed away in 1990. Marjorie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. BRONISZEWSKI, DOMINIC ALEXANDER - The death of Dominic Alexander Broniszewski, loving husband of Rosemary (Walton) Broniszewski, of Hickey Road, Saint John occurred on April 20, 2007 at his residence with his family by his side. Born 1920 in Montreal, PQ, he was the son of the late Stanislaw and Bronislava (Grabowska) Broniszewski. He was a veteran of WWII. Dominic worked as a Longshoreman with the International Longshoremen's Association for 30 years, retiring in 1985. Besides his loving wife Rosemary, he is survived by his sons, John Broniszewski and Joseph Broniszewski, both of Saint John; daughters, Norma Griffin (Bernard) of PEI, Sandra Walton (Donald) of Saint John, Mary Goobie (Brian) of Quispamsis, Veronica Barry (Steven) of Saint John and Theressa Vicente (Carlos) of Fredericton; brother, Frank Broniszewski of Montreal, PQ; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; extended family; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
