Soeur bien-aimée de Tony Pajaczkowski (Katherine), fille de feu Joseph et Bertha Pajaczkowski, tante de Derek (Kathryn) et Jason (Jennifer). POCKETT, Ernest “Ernie“ - Peacefully, at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Saturday, October 28th, 2006. Born May 28th, 1918 in London, England. Beloved husband of 61 years to the late Ellen “Nell“ Pockett (2001). A kind gentle man, he was a loving father of Annette Savage of Port Perry and grandpa of Katherine Savage of Toronto. Also survived by several nieces in the United Kingdom. Ernie will be sadly missed by friends Joan & Floyd Badgley and family, Nora Vollick, Margaret Card, David Lee, neighbours, the congregation at Thorold South United Church, family at Thorold Tire and Auto, as well as Staff at Red Lobster, members of the Thorold Seniors and the Thorold Legion. He enjoyed sharing his Second World War stories as a Veteran of the RAF, while his passion for golf was unerring. The family is grateful for the kind attentive nursing he received in the Palliative Care Unit at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Gratitude is also expressed to all the caregivers who contributed to his comfort in the last years of his life. A very special thank you to Dr. T. Tatzel. Cremation has taken place. He worked as a baker at Cecutti's and then for 20 years he worked at the INCO Refinery. He was a member of St. Anthony's Church and the Caruso Club. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the Cavalieri della Patria. Alfredo loved nature, enjoyed hunting, music, dancing and spending time with family and friends. A generous and giving man, who was devoted to his family, always willing and ready to help others, a man true to his word. Arrivederci Pappà. Beloved husband of Valentina Fiorino of Sudbury. FRATTINI, Orlando - Peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener on Tuesday, October 31, 2006, Orlando Frattini of London, passed away in his 91st year. Beloved husband of 61 devoted years to Edith “Edie“ Frattini. He is survived by his sister Yolanda Oliver of Sudbury (formerly of Coniston), brother-in-law George Mathias of Niagara Falls; sister-in-law Renalda Frattini of Sudbury and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Flora and Paul Dal Bianco and Marj Mathias, brothers Guy and Nello Frattini, and brother-in-law Ed Oliver. Orlando was an accountant at International Nickel for 25 years then moved in 1960 to Los Angeles to work at Sutro Mortgage and Banking for 21 years. At 65, he retired, and moved to London where he enjoyed 25 years with his loving wife Edie. He was affectionately nicknamed “Mad Dog“ by his co-workers at South Mine, Crane Hill and Creighton Mine. David truly loved mining. He enjoyed the simple things in life and was always accompanied by our golden retriever, Shelby, his faithful companion. His presence will be missed at the Beef 'n Bird where he was always lending a helping hand. David was truly an outdoor man, he loved fishing and hunting. He would spend hours just walking in the bush with his dog. Later in life David played golf. He kept active swimming and walking. OBITUARY JEFFERY L. CAMPBELL On October 31, 2006 at the age of sixty-two after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Maidenhead England, the only child of RAF Squadron Leader Gilbert Campbell (DFC and Bar) of Maybole Scotland and Violet Campbell of London England; loving husband of 31 years to Vilma and proud father to Elizabeth. Jeff studied cognitive psychology at the University of Reading. He came to Canada in 1970 for a short visit and decided to make Montreal his home. First employed as a Research Assistant at McGill University, Jeff was an Assistant Professor of Cognitive Psychology at Concordia University for many years and held several positions at Bell Canada, Andover Research and Terrier Research. Recently retired, Jeff was a voracious reader, an avid gardener and a lover of classical music. Retired from a teaching career with the Carleton Board of Education, Caroly was a unique and free spirit who loved life and kept her sense of wonder and humour throughout it. Her soul always danced to beautiful music. Her warmth, kind heart and the wonderful smile that could light up any room will be missed by her many friends. There will be no visitation. BROWN, Marjorie Emma (Scott) On November 1, 2006 Marjorie passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Foothills Hospital at the age of 88 years. She was born August 6, 1918 in Carmangay, Alberta. Marjorie and her husband Harold raised their three children in Bowness where Marjorie sold real estate for many years. She belonged to the Bowness branch of the Royal Canadian Legion and was past president of the Bowness Seniors' Centre. Marjorie was predeceased by her sister Muriel Crowe; husbands, Harold Brown and Willis Gray; and sons, Robert and David. She is survived by her daughters-in-law, Olive (Bob) and their children, Sherry, Denise, and Lance; Hjordis (Dave) and their children, Valerie, David, Barry and Tammy and by her daughter Ann and her husband Don Sexsmith and their children, Deborah, Janet, Randal and Scott; as well as numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
